A wonderful classic game...
but it's 2024 and Kagura still believes that you can't publish NSFW game on Steam without butchering it and requiring to download an external patch

Some people seem not to know it (or not to take it into account), but this studio does not continue this patch system only for blockages in different countries and Steam. They also do this mainly to force people to come to their site. Personally I have nothing against it, it has almost become a habit, and Bungee Gum's review remains off topic. But Kagura games are not Care Bears, we must not forget that either.

steam has banned 134 adult games this year so far. sure 40 or so were part of that scam wave, but the point still stands with how ignorant you are. steam still bans on a whim and it costs the publisher not only their admission fee but they lose the right to attempt to publish the same game ever again.

In Germany games like this are blocked. By removing that content from the game and putting it into a patch, people there can also enjoy it.
It's a bit more work for most people, but it's literally free and takes like a minute.

To add to the previous commenter, the 'adult' marked games are not directly visible on the steam storefront in any capacity unless you are logged in and specifically marked 'adult' games to be visible in your account settings. This way they 'cheat' the system so their games are visible to more people, which is arguably also wrong, as you shouldn't be showing games, in which the main purpose is the porn stuff, to the people who haven't agreed to seeing porn games.

Because that is literally the case. There are countries that block games with porn content, believe it or not. And if they want those countries to still buy their games the only option is to make a SFW version and give out a patch outside of steam.
