An immensely memorable, unique take on many standard roleplaying game tropes popularized by Wizardry and Dragon Quest. With Kenji Ito (SaGa, Final Fantasy Adventure)'s score, it feels like a sendup to the old while looking forward and doing the best that you can with the time that you have, and cherishing life.
