Yes with some caveats. You're gonna be frustrated when you lose your stuff due to dumb EA game bugs and mechanics.

With over 20+ hours in the game, the current endgame is basically picking quests that give high credits or unique rewards. And then grinding your weapon/character prestige. Pretty much nothing else matters.

The water thing that's part of like half the negative reviews is a complete non-issue. You get water just by completing quests. Even if you do lose everything from the water wipe it's super easy to just farm the water back up to unlock all the vendors again, and the actual progression that matters and that you will actually be grinding is your character prestige and weapon levels. The loot is very much completely replaceable in a couple hours even if you do get wiped.

That said, there are some game breaking mechanics and bugs that will cause you to fail a run. Enemies just spawning behind you and wrecking you, or just randomly taking a 1-shot hit from a mech/rocket (esp. if solo), or playing multiplayer and just being completely unable to change your firing mode, so you're stuck with a laggy semi-auto shot that can't kill anything. If you can't deal with that kind of frustration, come back in a few months maybe. But the game atmosphere and loop is pretty damn fun even at this early early access.

If you like visual novels, stop reading reviews and just play it.

It's fun, very much the original Helldivers gameplay but in FPS mode. Still has launch issues but those will be fixed.

Would've given a negative review initially for lacking the easy gamepad+stick/leverless support SF6 has, but was able to fix it by using Steam to remap controllers to keyboard keys and I've put it out as a community layout. With that fixed, this should now be the best version of the game as it has lower input delay than PS4/PS5 versions and there's crossplay.

A better Battlefield than modern Battlefield games

Horror game for people too scared to play other horror games where you can't kill the monster. Mainly because multiplayer makes it less scary, and you're given many tools to fight back and help each other as you progress. Another way of looking at it is, it's DBD, without the PVP.

What started as a good F2P game with an innovative short-match card game design is turning into Ben Brode making decisions to squeeze more and more money out of players while also trying to gaslight players that the changes are somehow for their benefit.

It's chill enough and quickplay is fast enough that I don't really care about what happens as I do my dailies.

Game is cute and has a lot of the old Princess Maker charm. But I would wait a little bit for the game to become more stable. Currently there are some game breaking bugs that prevent progress unless you play in Chinese, like getting letters from people. Also some possible save bugs if you play the demo or use the cloud saves.

It's a delicious experience!
