The best platform fighter to release in 20+ years (I think TowerFall probably doesn't count as a platform fighter :p). Very fun to pick up and play with friends but also a lot of high level mechanics and flashy movement options to learn. Some really unique character designs with a lot of depth to them as well. The only caveat is I was hoping a more full fledged story mode would make it into release, but the Arcade mode is fun and solid enough to tide me over until that gets added down the road :)

Incredible game, will be sticking with me for a long time. Fantastic writing, awesome and very unique world to explore, quests that genuinely challenged me to interrogate how I navigate things like idealism vs materialism, stability vs progress etc.

Only thing I'd give a heads up on is navigating the world/figuring out where to go early on in the game can be tricky. There's a questline to make a map of the islands which is neat but that means you don't have a map at the start. I advise not worrying about where you're *supposed* to go and just explore and discover new places until you have a bit of a map and mental picture of the layout of the world built up.

When I first started the game it felt like a neat curiosity, but the more I got into it the more and more I realized I was experiencing something really special. Can't recommend the game enough, GOTY contender for me (tough contention between this and Dragons Dogma 2 haha). Stay deluded <3

Well worth the price to experience its tight Peace Walker-esque mechanics and lightly-delivered thematic questions around creativity and authorship :)

Early Access Review
Best client yet for my favorite card game :) Can share expansions between steam and mobile, play with friends or matchmake ranked and unranked, as well as offline against a very solid AI. Been getting a lot of enjoyment out of the Daily challenges vs AI and playing ranked online! More people should play this game!

I'm enjoying Kandria a lot - really smooth Celeste-esque platforming with tight combat mechanics mixed in, and great music, art and an engaging story to go with! There are also some cool ideas like marking deaths on your map, and the accessibility options are appreciated as well. Will update review once I've completed the game but highly recommended thus far!

Fun game that works well as a casual grind, though it has its difficult moments as well. While the story isn't too long the characters are likable and the dialogue is pretty solid! Just don't go into it expecting Stardew Valley levels of content/customizability/replayability - it's more of a self-contained adventure and once you reach the end, you're done (took me 30 hours taking my time, can def be much shorter). The farming is there more as a way to choose what buff items to create for yourself for the quest.

Some tips:
1) Never craft keys as you'll find them eventually and they're expensive to craft
2) You can farm bosses you've already defeated once per day to get their items which sell for quite a bit.
3) Checkpoints are fast travel destinations, not places you can reset from if you die. Dying always sends you back to your house and one "sleep" worth of time passes.
4) The Earth spell that sends out blades is super strong against most bosses as it keeps dealing damage until they hit a wall.
5) There is a boss that spawns East of the fortress only at night, who drops an item needed for some equipment.

Lovely management sim game, really like how it makes the inhabitants of your town (in this case ship) the core of the plot and the goal of the game, with authored stories and arcs, from beginning to end, for each one. Makes them feel much more core to the experience than some other games in the genre. I also like that there is no calendar/date system, so there is no feeling of having to rush through the game in an optimized fashion, and it can be enjoyed at any speed you like playing at. Only complaint is plot beats sometimes being a bit spaced out, and some of the character stories never moving past feeling pretty vague and surface level. Overall though I've enjoyed the game greatly, found it simultaneously very calming and quite moving. Definitely recommend!

Awesome re-imagining of beat 'em up / twins stick games by adding the element of controlling a whole group, reinforces the theme nicely too. Feels great to direct onslaughts of bricks at capitalist lackeys while splitting your forces to dodge their attacks, especially against bosses.

Brilliant level design, fun mechanics, cute characters, amazing soundtrack, and lots of levels of varying difficulty. Where it really shines though is in its pacing. The story beats line up seamlessly with its level design twists and soundtrack progression, and the game progresses at the perfect interval to keep you engaged the whole way through. It also does a great job of letting players set their own goals for themselves by offering secret challenges, harder versions of levels, and accessibility options. On top of that it tackles themes rarely seen in games in a heartfelt and genuine manner, and in a way that I think allows pretty much everyone to relate. One of few games that have brought me to tears since I was a kid. <3 this game.
