The multiplayer is almost unplayable. Hit detection is absolute garbage and there's so much lag it is insane. Singleplayer seems fine besides a few bugs and weird textures/sounds. Would not recommend until they do more patches.

Ace Combat 4 released in 2001 had a better story and voice acting than this game.

The only positives are the gameplay and graphics.
If that is what you want, cool.
But I like my arcade flight-sim with a little bit of realistic dialogue and a semi-believable story.

The game is like an abusive spouse.
You love it and give it plenty of time and attention.
Only for it to beat you down with bugs, glitches, and crashes.

The final straw was losing three hours worth of progress due to a crash and being unable to save without a potion.

Buy on sale or don't buy at all.
