Canon so I had to play it.
Probably the weakest yakuza game yet but the substories were nice as always...

I would much rather prefer a bit of a higher price if it meant that the dev would pay more attention to QOL features as well as making it a point to not have any AI trash

It only takes 5 chapters for RGG Studio to destroy me emotionally.

I rate this game a "JORYU!" ou of 10.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... is a incredible remake/remaster to the cult classic NieR Replicant as well as another heartbreaking entry to the cruel yet beautiful world of Yoko Taro's games.

The whole game is very exciting to play through and the gameplay is somehow even more satisfying to me than NieR: Automata's. Speaking of the previous, yet canonically sequel, entry, if you enjoyed Automata, you will be absolutely delighted to play this game. It will definitely bring you to tears as you follow Nier, Kainé, Weiss and Emil's journey throughout a, once again, broken world. All this pain and sorrow is accompanied by the astounishing soundtrack composed by the talented Keiichi Okabe and sang with the angel like vocals of Emi Evans. The graphics are also very good and a nice step up from the already acceptable visuals of Automata.
Story wise, Replicant shines the brighest. You will discover and explore an unfamilar and unforgiving world full of sorrow and betrayal alongside a quirky cast of characters, each with their deep and meaningful background. Every character has a meaning and a story, do not forget this.

I am writing this review after finishing Ending E (the true ending). I advise all of you to play this game until you reach said ending as it is very rewarding and a tear jerking conclusion to the game. Sadly, the mechanic implemented to acquire all the endings is one, if not the only issue that bothered my NieR fanboy brain. You will be required to play certain sections of the game multiple times in order to proceed through the story, although the end result is extremely satisfying.

Overall, Yoko Taro and the team made a masterpiece once again with NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139...
Nier, Kainé, Emil and Weiss will be held close to my heart next to 2B, 9S and A2 (as well as the Pods).

The second and final Kiwami remake as well the first game to use the Dragon Engine.
Say goodbye to the multiple fighting styles and hello to the one and only Dragon Style, fitting of Kiryu Kazuma but an unfortunate farewell for the players. If you've played Yakuza 0, Kiwami and are now playing Kiwami 2 in a row like I did, I recommend setting the difficulty to 'Hard' because after a couple substories and your incredible fighting skills, the game gets incredibly easy.
The story for Kiwami 2 is, in my opinion, the best out of Kiwami and Kiwami 2. You still have the main cast and a certain someone who makes an appearance for the first time. You finally visit Sotenbori once again and get all the feels and nostalgia from Yakuza 0 and Majima is still the beautiful bastard we know and love. You also fight another Dragon for the first time in 20 something years! You should also do yourself a favor and play the Majima Prologue, it is REALLY good and offers closure for some tied knots.
Once again, a stellar entry to the Yakuza franchise.
I rate this game a Majima Construction out of 10!

As someone who started playing Yakuza Kiwami a mere day after finishing Yakuza 0, I can say without a doubt that I've never seen as smooth a transition from a prequel to sequel. The game rewards you in so many ways that it is honestly overwhelming, not just in terms of gameplay. Some substories get their own small sequels!
If you have mastered the fighting combat in Yakuza 0, you'll have no problem playing in Kiwami as the fighting is mostly the same with just some twists here and there to spice things up.
Story wise, Yakuza Kiwami meets the high standards brought over by its prequel. The returning characters as well as the new ones are incredibly well written and the soundtrack is still top tier.
Overall, I rate this game a 10 Billion Yen out of 10.

The best possible introduction to the absurd yet beautiful franchise that is "Yakuza".
From the soundtrack to the characters, and even its side-quests. Yakuza 0 is filled to the brim with care and love from the team at SEGA, care you don't find in many games these days.
The story is beautiful and the way Majima and Kiryu's paths cross is very well done.
The whole 80s atmosphere is also one of the best parts of this game. Going to disco and driving your way through the Virtua Racing leaderboard is extremely endearing.
You'll surely be sucked into this game once you pick it up, just the way the Dragon of Dojima likes.
Btw, Goro Majima best boy!

I love cracking some demons skulls open to the sound of heavy metal after a long day.
It's my little zen moment...
