It's a very dry game, which is ironic, considering everything is drenched in an abundance water.

It's The Witcher 3, just one of those games where a review isn't necessary. It's a modern classic.

New Update
Overall, I'm indifferent to the new "Next-gen" update. I appreciate it, but I feel it wasn't really necessary.
Cons First
Performance seems to have taken a mild hit, but ultimately I keep playable frames, mostly 60fps unless there's a lot going on on-screen. I typically cap games like this at 60Hz anyway.
People who use a ton of mods might have compatibility issues, but you can downgrade via a Steam beta branch if you'd like.
For now, that's all the cons I have personally.
Now the Pros
There's a lot of QoL improvements and seems to be some very useful/practical mods were implemented as vanilla. I feel like it makes the game a better experience for new players, and refreshing for old players.
The graphics and visuals are phenomenal, the classic game was fine, but there are some noticeable improvements everywhere you look.
Lastly, the game seems to have gotten a second life. It's bringing older players back, and newer players in, which is usually always a good thing.

Other/Conclusion
I do quite like that the update is "optional," companies like Bethesda are the worst for releasing random "updates," that ultimately seem to just break mods, for no real reason. Ahem, Skyrim Anniversary Edition...
CDPR seems to have actually looked at their forums when they were teasing the update, I love having a different beta branch for the classic version, should I wish to go back. (Which I don't, as of right now.)
The game feels familiar and fresh in a way. I didn't want the update until we got it, and now I don't plan on going back.
It's quite nice.

I forgot how much I enjoyed this game. Been quite a while since I've caught up with Geralt.

I'm not usually interested in games like this, sci-fi alternate reality, but this game is phenomenal.
I love everything about this game.
Story, style, setting, arsenal... If you thought German firearms were overbuilt before, get a load of the weapons in this game... Or anything in this game really. It's all obviously German :P

I took a chance and bought the entire franchise a long while back but never touched it.
I've heard the name, Wolfenstein, a ton of times over the years. Everyone has, surely.
I kinda wish I would've known how profound this game is, and the entire franchise in general.

Poking a bit of fun, but also kinda serious... This game seems to capture the feel of LA drivers really well.
In my limited experiences driving in LA, I've seen some whacky stunts pulled on the streets that make me question the requirements to obtain a license in California.

Review
I'd like to say this is probably within my top 3 favourite video game stories, but it may actually be my absolute favourite story overall. I definitely recommend it, though it has some hefty PC requirements, so be weary if you're running old or low to even mid-grade hardware.

Price
I purchased the Ultimate Edition of this game, on sale, during the end of October for $39.99.
When off-sale, the base Standard Edition price seems fair to me personally, though the base Ultimate Edition price seems a bit high for what you get.
A horse, a few free weapons, an outfit, and a low-paying bank job in the story mode isn't worth another $40, especially considering it's not difficult to obtain these items in the Standard Edition early-on.
The bonuses in Red Dead Online seem pretty minimal as well, though I don't play Online, which I'll get to later.

Story
Not only is the story absolutely profound, but the graphics help capture the feeling and represent the entirety of the game extremely well.

I had a deeper connection with this story than I've had in most other games.
I especially liked the way choice was represented, I was abundantly good-natured for my first playthrough, and I'll probably replay it as bad-natured later.
I like how depending on your overall actions throughout the game, it determines the outcome.
I'd also like to mention how alive the world feels. Everything seems to evolve with the story. Background characters, as well as entire buildings and companies changing.
There's so much content in story mode alone, I estimate you'll spend around 200 hours for a true 100% playthrough.
Overall, I just really enjoyed this game.

I haven't played the first Redemption game, but I feel kinda obligated to after enjoying it's sequel (pre-sequel?) so much.

Red Dead Online
As for Online, I didn't buy this game for multiplayer, and I don't have much experience in it.
However, within the first 20 minutes of loading into a session, I retrieved Lowry's Revolver, then I went to the stable and gunsmith in Valentine, and once I left the gunsmith, I saw 4 absolutely massive alligators, then my horse was set perpetually on fire, and I was killed by falling, or something, a few times despite being on flat ground.
I haven't played Online since, just seems like another GTA Online mess.
Overall, I don't particularly enjoy the GTA Online experience, and I doubt I will enjoy the Red Dead Online experience.

Note: There are weapons available in the story, as well as RDO, once you collect and complete certain challenges for said weapons in GTA Online.
I believe the Stone Hatchet is available in story mode after completing it's respective GTAO challenge. (You can find it at a Native American burial site.)
Lowry's Revolver is available in RDO after it's respective GTAO challenge. (You can find it in Lowry's cabin.)
The golden Double-Action Revolver is available in both story and RDO after it's respective GTAO challenge. (Though it's gifted to you for free in the story mode after Colter, you only gain the ability to purchase it in RDO.)
Completing these challenges also earn you around $800,000 in GTA Online.

Nobody reads reviews for AAA games, and even if you do, you're probably gonna buy it anyway.
