Playing this game on Steam since mid 2021, I accumulated well over 700 mods.
The game directory took up a little over 450Gbs of storage space.

I've since deleted all those mods for a fresh start in 2023, and found out the game is only 35Gbs with all DLC, except the HD texture pack.
Ultimately, if you want to do something in Fallout, you can probably find a mod to do it.

Tip: The game runs so much smoother without the HD texture pack, and pretty much looks the same. If you get stutters or low fps with a high-end graphics card, disable the HD texture pack in Steam.
