As someone who likes deckbuilders and roguelikes already, this was exactly to my tastes so long as they didn't botch the execution. They didn't. What's more, I am rarely frustrated even on a bad run because the gameplay is so solid. In a little over a week, through Steam Family Sharing, my wife and I have a combined total of 90 hours in this game. As adults with full time jobs, that means on average we each played more hours than hours spent in a normal week at work. With a daily randomized run (with leaderboard) and 20 levels of increased difficulty for each of the three characters, there is a ton of content here. I'm more likely to uninstall to make sure I'm making time for other games and things in my life than I am to stop playing because I'm bored.
Update: the devs continue to make balance passes and are taking great care with the addition of a 4th character, making this a lock for my Game of the Year.
