It might sound petty but I have never played a RTS with movement as slow as this.
Imagine play Dawn of War 2 at 0.5 speed, I was literally alt+tabbing out of it every time I clicked to move somewhere because even something as screen away would take at least 10 seconds to be reached.
It's a small detail but it's fumbled to such a degree is actually damages the experience.

I can't really add more than what other reviewers have already said, yet I feel obligated to help the review numbers.
It's probably the only renpy game I ever bought and I don't regret it. The writting, the art and the VAs are all very talented.
This is a endering piece of media and I hope more people enjoy it.

I can't in good consciousness recommend people to buy this game, specially at full price.



The only thing it got going for it is the co-op, so unless you got someone willing to spend money with you, go away and never come back.



Even then, other than co-op, every part of its gameplay experience is barely functional, combat is janky and not in a fun way, open world is barren, most of gameplay is spend on walking (I can't stress enough how much), game punishes you for running because max stamina burns, game punishes you for resting because it burns max mana.



The game makes you believe there variety on builds but in reality it doesn't allow you to mix classes, that's because most classes will require a specific amount of hotkeys to be functional, and the remaining hotkeys, even if you discard the "luxury" consumables dedicated hotkeys, is still not enough to use other classes' skills, specially if you are a mage.



All those issues and you won't expect them to ever be fixed, because the developers sell them as "features". Outward is part of group of games that responds to criticism with "it's not bad, you are playing it wrong", so don't be like the people who bought the game and now talk about it in some kind of pseudo-stockholm syndrome, trying to justify its shortcomings as anything than incompetence, use your money else where



The ideal gameplay of Outward is basically not fighting, not exploring but making a living out of fish, that's the only thing it won't punish you for doing.

I'm afraid of bell towers now 10/10.

It's like Skyrim, but guns.
Also alike Fallout 3, but better.

Found a bomb, planted on Glory, exploded home planet, lost game.
