The game is overall rather lacking and overhyped. Simply unenjoyable. I spent more time tinkering with mods trying to get something out of the game compared to actually playing it. Without the modding scene there wouldn’t be anything here.

If you’re willing to go through the effort, there are some great mods that can introduce cool characters and unique plot lines, but at a base it has none of that.

Your time is probably better spent playing and modding a game that’s actually good to begin with

I miss when this game was good. At its peak it was one of the best available, and it does still have some good going for it like it’s top notch gunplay. But constant questionable changes from devs leaves uncertainty and dissatisfaction among players. The game has been downhill for years and I struggle to see it rise to it’s previous heights again
