It is the 1700s, you are coming back to your farm that has been passed down to you by your father. Who got it from his father before him. Who got it from his father before you etc. You are coming home from the civil war. Your wife and kids are quite excited to see that you are alive and well. “Dad! Dad!” They cry as they squeeze you tight. You hug them back and hug your wife. She hastily whips up a feast worthy of a king. Beef, potatoes, pork, beans, cake and so on. As she cooks you find yourself drooling upon the table. Your kids proudly explain all the work that they have been doing while you were gone. A new shed put up, a profitable season reaped, and even a new barn built. As your beautiful wife lays the feast upon the table you hear a distant sound. clippity clop clippity clop. The hooves draw closer, but then fade out just as fast as they came. You pay little attention to it as you attack your plate of food. But 10 minutes later you hear it again. clippity clop clippity clop. Yet again it fades. You think “how odd to have two riders through within such a short timespan!” But you divert your attention back to the food. Alas, 10 minutes pass and the incessant clopping returns. Curiosity trumps your hunger and you go outside of the farmstead to confront the horseman. You see the lone rider approaching, he wears a large brimmed hat and a poncho. You wave him down. “Hey you there! Stop for a moment!”. The rider slows before you and elegantly dismounts the horse. “Hey dude!” The rider says. “J-JJerry??..” you manage to stammer out. “Haha dude i am fighting mandem i am stuck in a loop!” Jerry proclaims jovially. “Well that explains the loop” you say with a finger to your chin. “But why were you riding so swiftly?” You inquire. “Im in the steel ball run dude!” Jerry replies.
