I'm not really sure what compelled me to write a review after all this time, my best guess is that this game changed who I am and will always be in my mind. Honestly game is such a loose term here because Until Then isn't a game but an experience, and for me a life changing one. This will forever be my favorite game as it's the only game to make me cry and feel intense emotions. Of course other games have succeeded in making me feel something but not like this. I want to thank the developers for making this game and I'm glad it found me when it did. Please if you see this review and are thinking about getting this game, do it! DO IT!

Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a money grab from Bungie on steam. Eyes up Gaurdian, keep your wallet hidden. All jokes aside, this game is extremely fun. The story is great and the gameplay is fun. That's where it ends though. The game is "free-to-play" with very heavy quotation marks. Sure you can play the game for free but #1 the new light experience is boring as hell, #2 you barely get access to anything for free, and #3 what I consider the best aspects of this game are behind a paywall. If you want to play this game, do so at your own risk. Anyway, time to complain about the game while continuing to play it!

Fundamentally the gameplay is fun and I see it as an improvement to Payday 2, however the issue lies with the matchmaking and game systems. To level up you need to play the game how Starbreeze wants you to. You want a gun that's locked behind a level? Well play the game through challenges that don't value the players' freedom. You want to play the game at all? Well the error screen is more fun. I also think the removal of previous features wasn't the best choice. But I digress. If you truly want to play this game then go for it, however, I think it would be a waste of money and time. I find the game fun and enjoyable but waiting for the game to get updates and fixes to it's issues is the best course of action at the moment.

My friend who really likes D&D has been asking me to do a campaign with him for a while now. This is probably the closest we'll get for now. Even as a non D&D enjoyer I still think the mechanics used from D&D and it's 5th edition really make this game fun. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is enthralling, and the expansiveness in customization and play styles are captivating. I give major props to Larian for creating a masterpiece, in the crpg genre and gaming as a whole, and creating an experience that allows me to somewhat capture the D&D feel that my friend wanted me to have. (I'll eventually play D&D).

I made my own cult and forced one of my members to eat the meat of their friend, and I married four of my devout followers. Need I say more? 10/10!

My first ever Guilty Gear, and I love it! Just waiting for Dizzy to come if ever.
