It's really fun! Focus trees for 5 countries and minor additions for the region is more than enough to dig into, and South America makes for a fun and varied region to play in. I'd even say some of these nations would make great tutorial countries, as it can be a relatively forgiving and simple region to play in.

Has its quirks, but the game is more than good enough to warrant it. Recommend not worrying about completionism the first time around. Try playing with one or more close friends as a semi-regular thing until you beat it.

I was already growing really fond of Dungeon Painter Studio, and now the Beta for the bigly updated 2nd version is out. An investment into a lifetime-license and still improving, yet already impressive, map maker with much beloved workshop support.

Very good game with the DLCs, honestly can't really speak for it without. I'd imagine free to play is a bit like a demo to what is a really expansive and fun game with all content enabled. Ck3 is out and I'd personally rather play that, but this game will always have a spot in my heart and I may well go back on occassion. You may like this more than its sequel, in its current state.

Fun with friends, and I haven't had any problems with the multiplayer as of recently (as opposed to how it was at launch).

Having gotten a lot of attention by the devs, the vast majority of which has been free updates, the many lacking core systems of the game have been turning into something a lot more appealing and engaging. The way I'd describe it, Imperator now has the groundwork for great gameplay, but is still rather lacking in terms of embelishment outside very specific areas. If you're just considering giving it a try, then there should be plenty content for you to enjoy while exploring the game! I only hope more content comes over time, and some of the remnants of old systems can be properly cleaned up.
