The game if fairly fun even though it isn't quite perfect and could be great yet it suffers from a ton of issues.

- No idea why the heck they left out a Campaign, it's a huge heart of the BF Game Series and should not have been ignored nor left out at all which was a huge mistake by the devs in almost every way
- Not that many weapons actually
- Not that much customization and needs improved a heck of a lot
- Removed Arsenal Call-Ins Etc such as missles, smoke to bombard areas which was not a smart move at all
- Throwing Grenades etc is just strange and annoying, not sure why devs changed it, bad idea
- Weird random little glitches namely with vehicles
- Rubber-banding meshes and textures that shake
- Not many vehicles per player count, unacceptable, parked vehicles on map should also be drivable
- Still can't slide very well at all yet, another thing that is unacceptable at this point for a game of this style
- Wingsuit isn't on all classes, you have to be Sundance to use it which is misleading since not everyone can use it which just sucks because if all classes had it that would be a lot more interesting and fun
- No Operations or Frontlines Modes which is rather disappointing
- Can be hard to get Kills due to larger maps with more players
- Horrible Lag and performance issues galore, seems to be a problem with each season so far
- I miss the Fortification System from Battlefield V, they should have kept that
- I miss the death animation from Battlefield V, it was a nice touch, calling out while bleeding out
- The game itself is very poorly optimized in nearly every possible way to the point that you pretty much need a jet engine just to run it even if you already have rtx. (I found that having a lot more than 16gb ram helps a ton and appears to be a big cause - bf2042 is extremely heavy on your system ram usage)
- EA/Dice made a really dumb decision to axe the new (2023) Battlefield Mobile that could have been great
- Extremely Rude Teammates and Squadmates that will leave you for dead quite often
- Black Screen constantly after ending a match now all of a sudden since Season 4.
- Season 6 is by far one of the worst I have played so far granted the game has improved
- Attacking Team in breakthrough almost always wins, very unbalanced
- Map changes since the beginning have just made the game worse and harder to defend
- Massive Framerate Drops on a 4090 rtx, seriously devs?????????????????

While I do love the game there are a number of obvious issues that plague the game each release and each season sadly although it's certainly often playable. I've been a long time battlefield player and to me it feels more like a war with fully destructable environments unlike other shooter games which no other game has yet to match or create something of the sort better, a few have tried and failed in comparison. However the game in its current state as of Season 2 and now again with Season 3 has become unplayable so I cannot recommend it.
