Alwa's Legacy continues where Awakening left off, so if you have enjoyed Awakening, you should enjoy Legacy.
Following the bigger, better, more principle, it adds additional systems while retaining the overall Metroidvania appeal. Graphics look great and I really enjoy having a separate button for powers.

What holds the game back are the worse fights (killing a monster with the standard attack is tedious, albeit not hard) and was feels like a far more vague guidance - e.g. why would I want to repair a house? How should I know that I need to find metal for the smith to create a present which turns out to be a bell that I need somewhere else? This way the gameplay often devolved int o running around the map for places I have not been to.

Finally the overall gameplay felt less well paced than the original. Where the original build up to a climax, Legacy just kept on going and at some point the game was over - despite having FAR more story.

All in all I had a lot of fun, but if you plan on only playing on of the Alwa games, play the first one.
