Obsessive amount of bloom that can not be turned off. Don't look at the sky or you will be blinded.

There are plenty of reviews that explain that this isn't the greatest co-op game because each player "needs" to have their own island; you can not build an island together with friends. Or rather, you can, but it only saves it for the person who claims the island. You could have a friend always host and you join/use their island.

If you choose to play with friends and each have your own islands, you can (which is what I did) but with the current state of the game you're going to run into issues with having enough materials for however many people you're playing with. Most of the islands are very limited on resources. And lots of them are really small so it doesn't really make it worth flying around to every single one because there is no point. Or fixing them only to get not much in return.

30 hours in and we just now go to the biome which has clay and a bunch of other new materials. But, upon finding those new islands we were challenged with not having enough charcoal to sketch all of the new things we found. Why is charcoal so limited? Why can't you just make it from burning wood (which is very easy to obtain)? It doesn't make sense to me. I have 20+ pieces of paper and zero charcoal. At least it appears that these new island in the "hot" area have more charcoal now. Hard stone is another super rare material that you need a lot of. Why?

Tentacles enemies on the corrupted islands need nerfed. They are zero fun to fight. They deal a ton of damage. You can't block their attacks. You will 100% get knocked off of the islands from them. Sometimes the circles you need to kill are hanging off the edge of the islands; have fun with that.

Building your island is obviously the most fun part of this game and why we continued to play it. It's a shame that they limit you on the amount of control you have on placing items. You'll see really creative islands where parts are rotated in a unique way to create fun buildings and stuff. You can't really do that yourself. Also there's no ability to move built objects, you have to always destroy them and rebuild them which can get annoying.

Lots of other little annoying things, but it's in early access so it has potential to be good one day.

For a free game, it's okay. But this is not the Battlefield killer that you're hoping it to be. It has major issues that I'm hoping they will fix one day. 1. The developers claim there is no skill-based matchmaking, but it definitely does not feel that way. If you're decent at shooters then have fun playing against the sweats. No casual shooter here. 2. The maps design are not great and need some more work. Lots of bottlenecks and head glitch spots. 3. The sound design is terrible. It's incredibly hard to distinguish the footsteps of players with the constant background yelling and other effects going on. Can't hear vehicles rolling up on you. If you compare it to the footsteps in BF2042, its a night and day difference. 4. Gun play desperately needs bullet spread because you will get beamed across the map all the time, no matter the gun. 5. Way too many players use Luna who has the ability to shoot an arrow that shows players through walls and smoke. Yes, let's be strict with our anti-cheat system, but give players the ability to have wall hacks with an arrow. Makes sense. They need to change this to ping enemies on the mini map instead. Lots of other smaller issues too, but these are major ones that need improved upon before I can recommend it.

Honestly, a very solid and fun to play game. It's not like the other Dragon Age games, and that's okay. Even though others do not agree. I'm glad I did not listen to them. There's only a few things that I wish were improved upon. 1. Recommended level requirements for quests would be nice. I had no idea what champions were and I'm pretty sure at one point around level 20, I was facing a 40+ champion. Needless to say, I did not win that fight. And 2. the game difficulty settings are not balanced. I'm not an amazing player and got through most of the game on normal difficulty. When some fights seemed impossible or very difficult to me, I could just adjust it down one, but it became way too easy. So I'm not sure how they were adjusting that. Definitely recommend giving this game a try. Good characters, combat, and lots of quests and puzzles.

Basically a copy of nfs heat, which I enjoyed, but with a little bit different art style. I honestly didn't mind the new art style. The music on the other hand, I did not enjoy.

Warning: This game is addicting. And I've enjoyed jumping back into it with every update that they make. I can't wait for the day when this game is actually completely finished.

Does it have performance issues, yes. Does it have to optimize the game files every time you launch the game, also yes (at least for me). But it makes up for it with good characters and a good story. My PC struggled to run it at times, but I still enjoyed the game all the way through. Good sequel to the first game in my opinion. Side note: kind of a bummer that it runs very poorly on the Steam Deck. First one was at least playable on the Deck.

Got this game really cheap when it was on sale, and it didn't disappoint.

For anyone thinking about buying this on sale to play on your Steam Deck... it's running great for me. I had a little trouble getting it to run at first, but as long as you can get the latest Proton Experimental installed and tell the game to use it, you shouldn't have an issue. Happy gaming :)

Alright. I'm hooked. Reminds me a little bit of risk of rain, in the sense that you are constantly evolving, getting more powerful, and just non stop killing things. Took me awhile to unlock the 2nd map, but it get's better/harder when you do. Finally met the Grim Reaper and I can't stop playing now.
