EDIT AFTER 1.8.86 RELEASE -
There is STILL a BUG in basic, non modded, Starfield that can make SAVES TICKING TIME BOMBS that will start to crash or not even load after the saves bloat up enough in size. Bethesda has not fixed the issue or responded in any form other than boiler plate "reinstall steam, etc." fashion. It is happening to many people now that Starfield has been out for long enough and can be shown to not be hardware dependent by sharing the save files with others to reproduce the issues on other systems. As save files bloat fps can also drop, my current fps is almost half when in Jemison in the bloated save file vs a newish game.
The issue seemingly happens when saves get to a point where they are running out of available dynamic form IDs(FF3FFFFF) due to long play without going into NG+ and/or bugged scripts. The game doesn't seem to recycle the form IDs correctly, the save file bloats up(mine are 74 MB each), fps is reduced and the game will crash when it reaches this line of code, which doesn't actually work.
mov byte ptr [rax],al (RAX = 0000000000000000)

As to the other bugs I mentioned below only two have been fixed(according to patch notes) as Bethesda seemed to be focusing on introducing DLSS more than fixing more than a handful of the MANY, MANY bugs in the game.

Also all of my last 30 hours in game have been with a debugger attached trying to figure out what that non functional code is even supposed to be doing.
END OF EDIT

I enjoyed the game at first and was excited to go and scan every planet and do all there is to do in Starfield. MOST of the voice acting seemed pretty good and I was having fun with all of the various missions. The issue I have is that as I progressed I'd find more and more bugs, some of which became a serious issue with the playability of the game. At over 250 hours of playing on my save files the issues have progressed to a point where I cannot even play Starfield without crashing to desktop every 2-3 minutes. I'm guessing a build up of the permanent bugs I have on those save files have made them nonviable for use.

I'm not willing to redo my 250 hours, nor can I excuse Bethesda for in two months only fixing I believe 14 issues. Maybe in the future it will be in a better state but it doesn't seem like a priority for Bethesda. So after two months from release and paying $99.99 this is where is am.

Many have not had the issues I'm seen and are about to list and had the game run fine for many many hours. With a heavily scripted game like this that is not surprising, a small variation in gameplay may route a player into a mass of issues they avoided themselves. Others disagree that the bugs even exist even though Nexus has user mods to fix many of said bugs. Many will blame the issues on hardware or user ignorance even after the mod community find the solution or a minidump is presented. Personally I have over 2300 games on Steam, they are all installed and I have completed fully over 330(just including the ones with achievements). I have been on steam for 20 years and have a good idea of how a game should run and where to start troubleshooting. I shouldn't be having more trouble getting Starfield to run correctly then some old game with an incorrectly setup DosBox or one with a Games for Windows Live issue.(Also see comments for Hardware specs and troubleshooting and crash details.) As to why I don't go back in saves, having too many saves also causes issues at this point each save is 73mb each so Starfield gives the "running out of space" warning after only 10 or so(actual disk space does not mater here.) All of my current saves have the issues.

Bugs so far basic to major that I have personally seen.
(basic)
-NPC floating up into the air.
-Guards not wearing clothing.
-Small asteroids following ship.
-Artifacts no long visible on ship Armillary from outside
-(Not sure if bug) Many species of creatures are cloaked.
-Starborn blur effect staying on screen until reload after interupting it with Grav Jump.
-Companions at time not wearing spacesuits in 0% oxygen.
-Dead enemies staying standing
-Enemies reloading as invisible on return to certain areas.
-Companions get stuck jumping over rails and get stuck in blur.
-Floating rocks, sea fuana, other assets.
-PoI reverting back to unexplored(usually crash sites or random civilian PoI)
-Getting loaded under the Stronghold ship when landing at some "Abandoned hangers" PoI
-Spawning in the air at certain PoI when fast travelling.
-Companions moving from where you left them.
-Outpost workstations giving "Obstruction" error until game reload.
-"You are tresspassing" warning staying after fast travel.

(Mission and serious bugs)
-Masada 3 can't be fully scanned due to missing sea fauna.(and reportedly Beta Marae 1/Charybdis 2 but I haven't checked those yet.)
-EMS Constant is missing at tracker point so anything related to that I can no longer do.
-"Audition" mission -Meets Briggs is not possible due to door being locked.
-Mission "Vapor trail" often does not give locations to check so will fail when leaving the planet.
-"Runaway" mission - hotel room can be inaccessible blocking completion.
-Artifact not collectable due to Mission "Power from Beyond" not tracking or spawning PoI for me to land at(on Tau Ceti VIII-B for me.)
-Auto turrets no longer shooting for random periods of time.
-Overhead view in outpost building hangs game.
-Enemies no longer spawn at landing ships, this is permanent on the save and seems to cause issues if you steal certain ships that this bug allows you too.
-Ships power setting bugged to show full and green even when emptied.
-Other ships having stats changing when stealing certain ships.

The biggest issue I have is the crashing to desktop, however I will list that separately in case it is some driver issue or such even though the minidump points to the game and not hardware/drivers. I have looked at over 40 minidumps from my Starfield crashes and they are all this. And again yes it is error related to memory access but it is this exact error each time. Also check the comments where I list the many troubleshooting methods tried.

Achievements are buggy as hell at this point. Doesn't seem like they even tested them.

Achievement tracking is bugged so be prepared to not get achievements you probably spent a lot of time trying to get. Even if they tracked right there is no chapter select of replay option if you missed a few of the 140+ collectables, new game restarts them. This and other bugs were known about before the last patch in 2017 but never fixed. Also if you start a new game it deletes all of your manual saves. Controller support seems buggy too. Ok game if you don't care about achievements but I do.

This is not a good game. I get that it is the developers first game but the quality level and necessary implementation of basic gameplay mechanics just isn't there for a game that isn't free.

I play a lot if Point and Click and this was one of the best. Good voice acting, humor hits most of the time, and puzzles are not too obtuse. It's short but fun.

Well worth playing, some of the achievements are counter intuitive and tricky though. Worth looking at a guide IF your only going to play it once.

As everyone says it's a generic low budget looking zelda clone but it does do the puzzles well enough and I found it worth a play. Found no real bugs and as far as I can tell nothing is missable so you can go at your own pace and not worry about needing to use a guide or risk losing a 100%.

This is definitely the worst of the Adventure Time games I've played. I liked Finn and Jake Investigations and Pirates of the Enchiridion was ok. This just feels empty and no fun. You just run around finding the one time use Enchiridion pages spells that mostly don't even help, try to find an artifact on some levels, and find the exit. The bosses don't have any dialog at all and there's basically no plot. Also the weapon upgrades you can get at certain levels replace your old weapons with no way to change back, so if your last one had something about it you liked too bad, it's gone. Not worth buying unless you REALLY need some Adventure Time, even then it's disappointing.
