I have completed the game 100% and gotten all achievements for this game just to write a review for it.
Cosmic shake, made by the same devs as the BFBB Rehydrated, feels very similar to other spongebob game. This is not a bad thing, as it feels very nice. There are some new things added to this game though, like the pizza glide (more on that in a second) that make the game different enough to still need to learn things.
The levels are well themed and nothing in them seems out of place for what they are trying to do, each being a reference to a spongebob episode (as far as I can tell). The art styles all mesh very well and have that cartoon feel to them.
The downsides are the Pizza glide, limited voice acting, and the ENDLESS invisible walls. The Pizza glide, though helpful, needed to be tweaked more. It activates if you hold the jump button, which goes against most platforming instincts. If this could be the "3rd jump" like most game do I would let it slide; but is isn't. The voice acting over all is very nice; but the constant repeating of the same phrases gets aggravating and had me taking off my headphones just to not hear them again. Every level has invisible walls or instant deaths that make no sense, like an invisible wall on top of a wall that has something next to it that (in other games) would help you jump it. If they did not want us jumping over things or gliding past portions of levels, they should have closed them off.
Overall I am happy that I played the game and own it as part of my spongebob collection; but it has flaws that could have been prevented in the development fairly easily.
