This is hands-down one of the best games of all time.

The modding scene shines like nothing else I've ever enjoyed, the replayability for a freeform storytelling game is unmatched and the customizability of each run (particularly with DLC + well-curated mods) leaves room for veritable thousands of hours of fresh fun.

It will absorb you. The meme of "RimWorld keeps you awake" is accurate. There's always something to do, a thing to improve, a need to meet, a foe to defeat...

and I can wholeheartedly, confidently say after 1,000 hours that I've savored every second. If you're going to spend the cash, this is the prime example of a well-maintained sim with a modding community so flourishing you can find virtually anything to tickle your fancy.

Barotrauma's teeming seas offer some of the most desolate, daring and memorable experiences for you and a complement of friends - all without coming up for a single breath. Highly recommend.

Delightfully darling animations, adorable atmosphere and satisfying systems that are simple and spiffy enough to savor even on a low-energy day.

I love this little gem and am enthusiastic to play more! It gives those really good colony-management vibes and refreshes them with the mobile city method. The devs seem like swell folks and I hope they thrive <3

Positively stellar. I've only scored a couple of the endings but loved the heck out of it. Outstanding VA, outstanding atmosphere. This era of sci-fi is just a treat.

Exceedingly enjoyable! There are some stuttering/skipping issues in the very early parts of the intro, with one hardlock that was easily solved by reloading, and after that it's been 100% smooth sailing so far.

The Ubisoft Connect problems and the performance-related comments are, thankfully, majorly overblown. No run-around with the product activation and linking after a restart and it runs buttery. I've enjoyed organically finding and learning all the little natural items, minigames and minimalistic crafts. The environments are beyond beautiful and - especially with the low-profile UI - I'm thoroughly immersed.

The bow and arrow is satisfying as heck. It hits humans like a small tree-trunk and I love that the TTK seems to reflect this (footsoldiers drop instantly with just one of these scary sticks goring them through the torso).

I am 100% going to continue this gem when it isn't 3AM, and I'd recommend it at this point to anyone with a little patience and a love for exploring alien worlds. :)

H.P. Lovecraft would be proud.

The optimization of the FILE SIZE, the GAMEPLAY, the GLORIES OF DEMOCRACY!

Once they've squashed the bugs illegally settling in the server wires this could well be the GREATEST squad game of the year!

The game is decent. It's no BG3, it's no Outer Worlds, but after playing for excess of 8 hours I can say it's decent.

The colossal bottleneck for me is the optimization. Todd "just upgrade your PC" Howard seemingly didn't do much testing in regards to how his new universe taxes machines, because even 20 and 40-series GPUs struggle far more with this product than with anything else in recent memory.

For the exceedingly lackluster performance efforts, I can't recommend the game in it's current state. I haven't trusted money to the Bethesda beast in years, and I feel iffy as-is about Starfield, but I'm cautiously optimistic they'll take the f a t sales from the release and actually amend this horrific optimization.

Until then, no-go for launch.

Thank you to Narathi and the other kind folks at Bethesda that have worked on communication and improving Starfield :) The game wasn't as revolutionary or polished as I hoped but I'm gonna give it a second go! Things seem like they've smoothed out some, and I'd like to scratch that space RPG itch.

Gaijin hasn't listened to player outcry to any meaningful degree in ages.
Until now. Until people started blasting it on it's most public, most viewed place. Here on Steam, in an extensive attack on the despicable way they take advantage of their players.
They obviously don't listen to the forums, because the economy was only primed to get even worse - but they try to convince us that they do.

But now we're threatening their current and future bottom line. The more people steered away by that bold red negative review status, the more they sweat. So let's keep them sweating. Don't change your reviews to positive just over this one victory - keep it deep, deep in the red until Gaijin rolls back ALL of the starkly predatory ♥♥♥♥ they've implemented.

They have and will try to placate us. Don't give in. Keep it red til they give us back the experience that we DESERVE.

The changes are rolling in and the quality of life is steadily rising! I am altering my review to a positive - and if all these changes follow-through and hold true, I will keep my optimistic stance on the game! <3
