The pinnacle of the Emily is way series. Having moved to a Facebook interface fans of the original two games probably will be a little saddened. But I still enjoyed it a lot because the story and choices made a big difference. I like seeing the photos and posts. I think I liked 2 just a take more because it was more nostalgia for me but 3 is definitely the pinnacle of the developers efforts and dreams. I really wish there was a new game. No idea what they could do but I miss this story and world. Again I highly recommend.

This game took the original and bumped it up. I loved the original this was all that and more. It is absolutely worth it if you are a person who grew up in the era of AIM you will get hit hard with the nostaglia. I don't know how to put it but it hit home for me right in the feels. If you grew up post-AIM you may not quite understand all the subtle hints.

Pretty art work that is unique in the 18+ VN market especially from a non-Japanese developer. Pretty good story to boot. You can play the first night for free so you can see if this will even interest you which is fantastic too. Definitely recommend you try. The characters are interesting and there is definitely funny scenes and interesting plots. For the price you can't really go wrong.

So I purchased this when it came out and played it off and on for a bit since then but more recently I have really sunk my teeth into it. Usually, I had used Euro Truck Simulator 2 as my trucking sim as it was a world I am not familiar with and can enjoy it without worrying about precision and feelings on familiarity. As such I barely touched it with the Oregon and Washington packs. But for a variety of reasons I wanted to really put some effort into this game. I have to say I am very impressed. While it is not the most precise replication of the real world (and honestly who would want that) SCS has done a tremendous job making it feel like it is.

For example towns feel similar to the real towns and places. They utilized ports near major cities to give you the feeling to are in a large city without having to drive through what would clearly be harder to render actual downtowns. Each rest stop feel unique lending to the feeling that this was all lovingly created and based on some actual plan vs plopping down pre-rendered blocks and calling it good. You come to tunnels and one direction is designed different from the other reflective of how additional tunnels are added later and with newer and improved tunneling techniques.

All of this lends to making something feel like it was made with great care while understanding people do not want to make a real life timeline run.

This is not to say its without flaws. The AI especially seems a bit lost at times where they will swerve into one lane then switch back moment later. And the GPS could use some better heads up when you have to get off. I have gotten tickets seemingly at random at lights either turning right on a red or making left hand turns at green left arrows. But they do not overall detract from the gameplay as its so infrequent.

If I had one major complaint it would be that I would like more trucks added either as DLC or with a state update. The modding community has really stepped up to the plate there but some support for the beautiful official custom paint jobs would go a long way.

But other than that it is a great game and while ETS2 will always hold a special place in my heart I feel it can be shared easily with ATS. Both have their own feeling and support and I think it fulfills their roles nicely. If you like ETS2 I think you should give the latest DLC a go with ATS even if you were not impressed at launch it has been greatly improved IMO. And while there are still bugs and issues I think people will always find bugs and issues in games like these so do not let that deter you.

Credit given where credit is due. The original game release was a disaster to say the least. Alien conversations were limited and unobtainable , the whole get to the center of the galaxy was a joke, the planets were the same same no matter where you went, ships were just that and the interface and inventory was limited.

Instead of just quiting on it the guys at Hello Games (Sort of like Egosoft in a way with X: Rebirth) took it and fixed things and improved them. Greatly. After a year it feels like a whole new game. There is even a meaningful story relevant to my character which I enjoy. I am looking forward to playing this game in a more in depth manner this time.

A game that sounds so boring on paper but turned out to be a lot of fun. I like the variety of vehicles you get though sometimes its not clear what sort of upgrade you are getting by spending more but they are all real companies. Driving through farm lands I actually can tell what the tractors are actually doing so that is exciting. Playing with friends can actually be quite addictive.
