I was sceptical at first. I'm a diagnosed ADHDer and lose interest in most things very quickly, even if I enjoy them.
But this game, it ticks so many boxes for me I'm still playing it - it's epic, over the top, doesn't take itself seriously, has fantastic mechanics and satisfying gameplay, encourages true cooperation, and has a fantastic, friendly community.

It's also the *only* example I know of a well executed live service game. Destiny 2 could learn a lot.

For Super Earth.

An absolutely beautiful little game about moving forward, no matter what happens. Fantastic OST, too!

Early Access Review
Funnily enough, this incredible physics simulator has reignited two things in me: my long lost love of driving cars that I never even properly admitted to myself, and the love of crashing things for fun. It used to be complex blocks contraptions as a kid mashed against one another in epic crash scenes. Now it's cars in BeamNG.drive. Feeling like a kid again, wanting to drive again, 10/10

Just optimise VR and BeamNG.drive will be my second home.

Such a wholesome, well written, well planned game - a real feeling of adventure and exploration, getting to know the mechanics and master them through trial and error; figuring things out try after try. And you learn it's the journey that matters, even after you do reach the satisfying end of this - not so short - hike. 10/10

It's currently on sale - just get it.

If the reviews so far, the countless videos and articles aren't enough, I'll try to pitch in.
I've been a fan of HL2 ever since it came out - the world, the atmosphere of the game, the feeling of being persecuted in a seemingly familiar world turned alien, combined with the fantastic music that keeps you on your toes, the memorable characters, the list goes on. It's a one of a kind feeling, and I was almost certain that after all these years nobody's going to be able to re-create it.

Guess what - they've done that, and more.
With VR bringing you straight into the world of the game, most boundaries are gone, as it just so happens Valve not only has created one of the best working VR titles up to date, pushing the tech to its limits, but also managed to pull off the seemingly impossible trait of re-creating the HL2 magic.
The graphics are stunning, bringing the HL world to life more than ever; the level of interaction with the world is great, and you feel that same mesmerizing, uncanny vibe as we did back in HL2.

I wholeheartedly recommend you get the game, as an absolute must if you either are an old HL fan, or you've never played the HL games but happen to own a VR headset. Hell, even if you're neither of those, and you have some money to spend, I'd recommend getting a headset for this game specifically. Together with Boneworks they just make it worth it.

I was skeptical when I first heard of Crossout, thinking it would be a typical, pay-to-win grind. And maybe it starts being a grind at some point, but I am very positively surprised by just how polished and different this game feels.
It captures that Mad Max-y vibe of post-apocalyptic wasteland very well, but adds some flavors of its own. The music is great and really gets you into the zone. The vehicle construction is satisfying and people are building all sorts of crazy and clever designs.
The combat is gritty and dynamic, and there's different PvE gamemodes - raids, simple missions, the story mode, as well as freeroam. And then of course there's PvP, including a battle royale mode, if anyone's still not bored of it.
The game is free and it's perfect to just jump in and out of for an afternoon session. I definitely recommend you try it out - let's ride!

The game is polished, the gameplay is fun and addictive, even if at the beginning it can be a little frustrating. That is to say, the learning curve is quite steep - but that's because the combat mechanics are complex enough to give you a satisfying, skill-based experience.

Have only just finished the first chapter, playing with a significant otter. Very colorful, cute, and certainly has an old pixelhunt vibe, but it's more elegant than that. We've had fun cooperating on solving the puzzles. Recommend you try it for free!
