Hard but fun game, still amazed it gets all sorts of whacky updates to this day.

The game was quite decent before the afterlife patch, not the best but not garbage. After the Afterlife Update this game has become one of my absolute favorites, new universal mechanics and gameplay overhauls have made this game much more fun and better to play bosses that used to feel unbalanced or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane are now much more manageable with the new tools the game gives you. There's now more story past the original games ending to help create a more satisfying ending so the game doesn't leave off on such a weird cliffhanger.

My only problems are the fact that there's no point in playing the game Mortal (1 Life) since the original game had a sorta secret for completing the game like that and they maybe could've done something interesting with that even though some people would hate it. The Multi-Class system is kinda meh since you just get the skill trees of said classes with no changes catered towards your original class which can cause problems such as very incompatible skill sets for your build. Lastly the Default Keyboard controls are still weird as hell like S to shield and drop down from platforms is okay, but W to both jump AND climb like what you couldn't separate the two actions?

Overall if you were unsure of buying this game, it is most definitely better and more enjoyable than the original game, and if you tried the original and hated it you should give it another chance with the Afterlife Update.

Its not perfect, and there's problems here and there but this game is honestly quite good if they simply did something else other than adaptability and made hitboxes tighter this could've easily been the best souls game.

Its literally Open world Dark Souls, its got all the classic mechanics, weight, rolling, stamina management,and loss of souls on death and bonfires with some extra jumping and horse riding mechanics.
This game is amazing, most of the boss fights are quite unique and different from each and they all feel quite exciting to do. The Open world nature means you can go anywhere and do objectives/dungeons in any order you want.
The game isn't perfect, it's most certainly has problems here and there, maybe you don't care about them, or they don't affect you or maybe you think its part of them charm.
Overall Fromsoft has outdone themselves with this game, and anyone who's familiar with the Souls series will enjoy what this game has to offer.

Feels kinda overpriced, but pretty decent DLC.

Just think if this like another skyrim, big open world, amazing atmosphere, good rpg mechanics and enough bugs to shatter the game in half multiple times.

Better than Chivalry.

Literally Risk of Rain, but in 3d, and has actual multiplayer matchmaking.

Its a Monster Hunter game, where all you do is hunt large monsters and then turn their body and souls into weapons and armor for your own satisfaction. nothing more nothing less, just a fun game for a group of friends to play.
