After hearing, seeing, and reading all the hype for NMS NEXT, I decided to give it a go while it's on sale and try it out. I had never played the game before, but I definitely remember all the negative reviews back when it first came out.

I've played for 4 hours so far. Not what you'd call a long time at all, but I think it's enough to give the game a pretty fair review.

I got this game half off at the end of July 2018. That's $30. EVEN AS A $60 full price game, this is 100% worth it. I get lost in the planets and story unlike almost any other game I've ever played. Even when the worlds are bare (which is very rare from what I've seen) I'm always finding myself engrossed in a task, or even just the sights. I've already seen plenty of pictures online showing the beautiful skylines and nature in this game. I haven't been able to find something as beautiful as these planets from far up above in any other game.

Clearly this game and its developers had troubles in the past, but now more than ever before, they deserve all the props for completely turning this game around. I'm 4 hours in and barely even made a dent in the main quest. Nonetheless, I'm so excited to keep going. A beautiful game for everyone who loves the magical feeling of adventure in unknown worlds.
