A very fun 2D platformer along the ilk of the Wario Land series, namely Wario Land 2 and onwards. The game's movement allows for a large amount of player agency in how they tackle the game.

Loop Hero is a delightful little game where you walk in a loop and are a hero. The characters in this game all have interesting designs and personalities, even if some of them you only talk to a few times. The game play loop is mostly easygoing, you can play the game at your own pace most of the time. It is a rogue-lite game and sometimes RNG can not be in your favor, but fortunately the game isn't all too punishing if you fail a run. All in all, a pretty great game.


Also the OST is fire if you like chiptunes.

Edit: Surprised to find out this was actually Id's choice in the matter. Glad that they fessed up to it, since people (including me) had assumed it was Bethesda's doing. Id seems to be taking responsibility for their actions and listening to their consumers, so that's good. Hopefully they won't make another mistake like this one. I'll be keeping the original review as a reminder, but since Id fixed their mistake, I can give this game a good rating again in good spirits.

I was excited to play the game until they added what is essentially malware to it to "prevent cheating". Seriously, does the concept of a vote kick not exist to these people? Besides, this game's primary focus is single player; so why on earth would they need a ring 0 anti-cheat software? Anyways, good game, bad anti-cheat. Hold out on playing it until they get rid of the major security risk of an anti-cheat known as Denuvo out of there (if they ever).

A promising game with many unique items to make each run feel different from one another. More content is on the way, so it will be interesting to see how the game's balance turns out. Also, bring back the iconic barbed wire?

I've played this game for some time now, and even though there's been this update, or that update, I can still yield enjoyment from this game. Sure, I may not be as avid a player as I used to be, but it's still nice to have a game I can come back to and play for a few rounds and (usually) have a good time of it. At the end of the day, I just wanna jump into a match, blast some dudes, and be done with it. No need for having to stand in a corner waiting for the enemy to come to you when you could just jump in their face and blast 'em. That's how I like my shooters, quick, full of action, little down time.
