This game has a tremendous potential - let's face it: open world sea exporing never gets old - but after a few adventures with my friends I started to wonder... Is this it? Is there nothing more to what the developers have to offer in terms of replayability?

I played around 50 mission where the only thing we'd do was put together a chart, fight skeletons, find treasure and resell it to the most uninteresting NPCs in history.

The most fun I had was accidental stuff, like when somebody forgot the stove on, the ship caught fire and we had to put out the fire before the ship sank, or when we met some funny players to interact with. Clearly this can't work when there aren't many players on the server to begin with, or when you're actively avoiding others.

The only thing saving me from unistalling the game was my friends making it fun thanks to role-playing.

I'm convinced that if you plan on leaning on game missions alone, you're in for a flat and boring gameplay, especially when playing alone.

I played the "Shores of Gold" mission lately and let me tell you what the devs think "fun" means: solving puzzles going back and forth on the same island over and over (every puzzle was more or less the same); platforming to find the skeleton king, (whom ran out of moves after 1 minute of fighting); killing him and selling his dumb skull. That's it.
After this "legendary" mission, which I summarized but took about 1h and 30 mins to complete, we received 10k each, which is about the same if not less than what you normally earn for a normal mission. Some of us were beyond furious.

The cherry on this unispired game is that in-game money only buys you cosmetics and, if you desire, your own ship, which adds nothing to the game experience. No new mechanics, no more cannons, nothing.
Hell, you can't even play with more than 3 friends! The developers were so scared of creating situations where players may become too powerful, that they avoided the situation completely. That means that if you have more than three friends who want to play at the same time, joke's on you 'cause you'll never get on the same server all together.

The only positive thing about this game is that it has a beautiful style with a gorgeous looking sea and the cosmetics are beautiful.

I hope the devs revise the writing of this game, because it's straight up sh*t.

At least I saw a bit less cheaters, as of lately.
