Awful concept of what Realism vs Simulator experience should be.

A game that continues to grow and evolve into a vision. It started in the ground, and with the work from HELLO it has sprouted, and bloomed in its maturing years.

Great game for the casual gamer, and has enough depth to keep a serious gamer occupied for a while. Also a great game to play with someone new to gaming. A very easy game to into, and doesn't have very stiff penalties for failure.

It provides the perfect amount of micro-management that you want. You can, if you want, micro manage every facet from colonies, to space craft loadouts, or you can throw the Auto switch on and concentrate on tactics and politics.

Some levels are require a pixel perfect setup, but others are more free-form. I enjoy the ones that have multiple ways to put them together. Having to do exactly one setup, with exact layout is tedious.

Primarily a resource management game, with a side of quick wits and reaction.

At first it seems a bit short and slow, but things pick up pretty quickly. There is quite a bit more below the surface when you get further along in the game. Trying to stock your store with items that you can't simply buy is interesting. The Barbarians, once activated, add a bit more difficulty to those looking for a challenge.

The art style is unique, the music is fun and interesting, but there is no replay value, no more updates and a few lingering bugs. Worth the money for the hours spent on it though.

Early Access Review
The game is constantly changing, constantly updating. Reliably every Thursday new content and fixes are being pushed. With the sister game Medievel Engineers out, the two development teams are sharing ideas, sharing code, and progressing both games even further.

I've built kilometer long behemoths, meter long drones, and everything in between, and still enjoy the game everytime I play. I highly recommend it for the creative crowd, as well as for the action crowd.
