I have a love hate relationship with this game. It is a good survival game, has everything you really need, the undead, crafting, building, pvp, and pve sorta, even modes on the side for tdm. The game graphically is beautiful and they have come a very long way since earlier last year when I got the game and it's keeps being optimized. Yeah i know for some the game doesn't run well but each system is different and they do post when launching the game it's still a work in progress. On my system it runs great at 1080 with no issues. I love how peaceful it can be yet also nerve wrecking sometimes when you are building your home and you think you hear an enemy player nearby, the camo and skills are great. One of the biggest things I can't stand are the damn mechs, take them away and add some new puppet variations or mutants and this game will be nearly perfect for me. Overall, i can keep going and going but I honestly enjoy the hell out of it. You have single player and server based multi. Try it.

Yes I was frustrated a little bit at the beginning because of the puzzles not giving too much information, the weird kb/m hud glitch where it keeps showing controller icons but the deeper I got into the game..the more I was getting into the story and wanted to find out more.

Graphically the game is not bad, gameplay graphics are great, the lighting, shades, textures, all is great for what it is. Keeping in mind this is supposed to be 1990's the cinematics did remind me of the old doom 3 graphics. The sound effects work well, the animations on voice aren't that great but honestly was easily looked passed because the voice acting was so well done in my opinion. I did get the influence of Resident Evil mixed with some Alan Wake vibes. The ui for the inventory system pissed me off a couple times because I was not sure on the item and combining process but eventually figured it out and it became easier. I saw at least hit chapter 2 of the game before giving up, you may keep playing like I did. I look forward to Chapter 3 and beyond in my next live stream. https://clips.twitch.tv/AverageTastyCasetteBuddhaBar clip of the live reaction when ending the 1st stream of this game.

Okay so yeah I only have a few hours in but honestly I am actually enjoying this. It's hard, rewarding, and the base models really don't look bad. I like the calmness and peacefulness it provides at times yet the oh crap moment when you hear a wolf growling when you are about to make a turn around a boulder. It's crafting system is pretty simple, tho at times I feel that the amount of mats you get from animals is a bit low. But only a couple things that throw me off weigh less than the amount of positiveness the game provides.
The price isn't too high, Updates are actually good considering the amount the Dev puts into it. If you are looking for a survival game that's calmer yet hard that is different than others give it a try. It's not a zombie apocalypse, just you surviving against nature, and the AI hunters. Which I might add, are quite tough. They move and attack just as I would. Great job dev keep up the great work. I see many good things coming forth in the future. Also for you graphic junkies, it's not the best, but for what it is, it's not bad. Gameplay over graphics on this one, but I've seen so much worse.

Okay so wow, just finished the game and feel I want so much more! Nearing the halfway to the end it got so intense with so much emotion and bad assness i wanted more!

If you enjoyed the previous reboots you will surely enjoy this one. It's both games with some enhancements and a crap ton to explore and find out on your own! The character models, acting, voice, all done remarkably well. This is surely a good game for those that love the franchise!

Honestly puts me in a good mood. Don't know if it's the music, gameplay, social interaction, or just all of the above. Reminds me a bit of Harvest Moon.

Overall not bad! I personally have a love hate relationship with this game because there are times where I feel that Mouse KB vs Controller is not as good yet other times where it seems great.
For Honor can frustrate you if you are in the wrong mindset. What I mean is that when you queue for a 4v4 there is no need to complain about getting destroyed when it's 4 v just you because you yourself will end up doing the same at some point. I used to try to play the "honorable" way but realized I just want to have fun and hit people with giant swords and axes and pull off executions. There are different game modes but have longer queue times where as the more populated Dominion PVP 4 v 4 will get you in a match in under 1 minute most of the time. As you get your reputation up you will find more matches. YES there is PVE but only with the Marching Fire Expansion and it can be very repetitive because you are just going against AI and collecting small amount of xp and loot. The community can be very nice and helpful via reddit in showing you materials to perfect your chosen hero.
The graphics really aren't bad and i can run a solid 60fps with my msi 970 and ryzen 2700x no problem at 1080p. The gameplay well..it's a fighter, each hero has their style and movements speed ect so play around with all of them. You CAN earn enough to buy all heroes with in game steel that you earn via just playing the game or you can spend real money and just buy them. Season passes aren't bad but really just give you champion status which gives you increased xp for heroes, and salvage. IT does help a bit but honestly if you have patience and just enjoy playing you can earn the steel in no time with the daily missions which give you a good chunk of xp and steel. I ended up getting the starter edition and now have access to all but 3 heroes that I got from steel in game along with passes because I wanted to support the devs and yes I spent money to get the passes because I enjoy the game .
At least give it a shot and if you don't like it get a refund. That is the best way I can help you to make a decision. Just try it. There are tons of videos online to watch of gameplay as well as tips and tricks for each champion.

Okay so upon release of the game I will admit the game itself was barely playable because of the optimization issues and none of the graphic settings would save. 1 hour later after release a patch was done to fix it and the game was more playable and I ended up streaming it live and enjoyed the hell out of it. One day after a 2nd patch emerged and wow i can run it even better and at a constant 60 fps! My rig isn't the best and only a msi 970, ryzen 2700x, 16gb of ddr4 on a 21.5 inch monitor at 1080p. So that was huge! The devs listened and did what they could to make sure the money was well spent.
Now as far as the game itself, yes it's kind of a walking simulator and the first hour I kept getting lost in the woods but ended up just running in one direction aimlessly and found my way lol. After that you become very very close with your companion pet Bullet(dog) and realize you two need each other as much as the other. The scary moments are unpredicable, the creep factor is fantastic, the inventory took some time to get used to but is easy now. Paying attention to everything you read and pickup is a must, the video camera effect with changing reality is AMAZING I love that because it feels fresh to the genre. The sound effects they did very well and as I keep going deeper into the story the more in love with my pet Bullet I am and more I want to know what is going on. There is so much more I can explain and review but don't want to spoil anything. Just give the game a try before just reading review and see for yourself. Do yourself a favor and at least make it to night time.

So I had gotten this in 2015 and enjoyed the story and gameplay. Back then the game ran great with an amd 270 and a fx6100. Now with a Ryzen 2700x and a MSI 970, the game runs even better and looks amazing still after all this time. It helped with the Enhanced update but the gameplay remains to be very fullfilling. The enviroment and sound are still great to look at, the night time is still scary yet satifisfying if you survive! Overall, Techland, you made a damn good game in the Zombie Genre. Fluid motions and awesome parkour! Can't wait for Dying Light 2!

I didn't fully complete the Redux version of this yet but from what I have dabbled with in the few hours is actually amazing. Just as immersive as the original Last Night but better optimized and more beauitful than ever! Amazing Game!
