This is a great game. I understand all the controversy and I myself am trans and I obviously do not want to support JK rowling, but I've been a harry potter fan since I was like 5, for far longer than I've known shes a piece of ♥♥♥♥. This game is actually quite inclusive too, I was able to make a character that fits me perfectly. Now past all that onto the actual game. This game is basically if you took any other modern massive open world game like TW3 or RDR2 or skyrim and made it harry potter themed. Id personally say the world is probably a little lackluster compared to TW3 or RDR2 but this games world blows stuff like modern AC games out of the water. The story isn't amazing but it is engaging enough to keep me opening the game. The combat isn't necessarily where the game shines but it is definitely one of the most unique styles of combat I've seen in a game especially recently. Its a bit like mass effect or the old dragon age games just ranged only and much more polished. The place where this game really shines is how much depth all the systems and world manage to have while still being lore friendly, magical, fitting to a T rated game. Will this be my 2023 GOTY? probably not, but this game will probably be in my top 5 for this year. Overall Id give it a 7-8/10. Id say if you prefer to play more mature games and/or aren't a harry potter fan this game will probably sit closer to a 5-6/10 for you personally. If you have no issue playing games intended for everyone and are a harry potter fan this game will probably sit closer to an 7/10.

Overall verdict: Hogwarts Legacy is a great modern open world RPG with an engaging enough story, pretty deep systems, unique combat, and manages to be pretty inclusive to the LGBT and POC despite it being shrouded in controversy. 8/10

Should you buy this game? If you are a harry potter fan or love contemporary open world RPGs Id say its probably going to be worth full price. If you are not a harry potter fan and you think often times open world games are empty or boring Id say its still worth a pickup if you're an RPG fan just probably at a lower sale price.

super epic pog game

I played this jawn at launch on GOG on a 960, played it again in 2019 on a ps4, playing it again in 2022 on a 3060. This game is worth far more than the 3 playthroughs Ive given it and I plan to give it more. The patch brings many welcome quality of life changes and graphical upgrades. I will admit they need to patch the aliasing and the RT but beyond that the graphic upgrades are great and my 3060 has no problem with every thing ultra+ no RT and dlss on quality. Does it look like a 2022 game? No not at all, but this is a remaster of a 7 year old game and they did manage to make it play and look about 3 or 4 years newer than it is. If you've played the game before this is a great reason to replay it, if you've never played then ♥♥♥♥ bro why didn't you its been out for a decade but no seriously just buy it. You do need a pretty beefy PC tho.
