This game isn`t really a Flatout game, I have to admit that. But it`s not as terrible as everyone claims it is. A few patches were released and its a decent arcade racer now. It has a lot of cars to drive and unlock and there are plenty of modes like Stuntman, Offroad, party modes like a monstertruck mode and Splatout.

Performance-wise it runs stable and smooth for me, although I have heard of people experiencing frequent crashes. The game doesn't look as good as Flatout Ultimate Carnage, but it's still about average (for its time).

The AI seems to be flawed, which hurts the most in Destruction Derbys, where basically all of the AI Competitors only chase the player. You can only avoid this by constantly fleeing and only targeting isolated AI drivers. In normal races AI drivers can go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ when falling back too far, which can be dangerous when lapping them, but is rather amusing to watch after finishing the race.

To summarize, Flatout 3 is a playable arcade racer that doesn`t require experience with racing games, so it could be worth a try for casual gamers that don't play too often. I would however recommend to wait for one of the many 90% discounts, as this game isn't really worth 30 bucks.
