I need to preface this by saying: Extraction shooters shooters *ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE* that said, this isn't just an extraction shooter. This is an EXPERIENCE.

Best moment so far:

Exploring with my 3man, scavenging, you know?
Random stranger comes outta no where, solo player.
Tells us he's arresting us, for whatever reason. Once he mentions taking out the handcuffs, we all, WORDLESSLY absolutely DESTROY him with NO remorse.
He didn't know what was happening
he didnt know he was about to get shot
while he was laughing, I went ahead and 'executed him'

I looted him dry, and moved along. Got a sick legendary piece of loot that raid too.

will be playing this for many, many, many hours.

Simple: Its a finished product, with no stupid skins, no disgusting monetization. And it works.

to those who shun this game because they've been mislead into thinking its some sort of walking simulator. I wish you'd give this game the shot it really deserves. When it first came out, years ago, I slept on it on PS5. I regret that I did, because now I'm playing catch up, and I've, admittedly, matured as a gamer.

This game isn't gonna be a balls to the wall, Action-Flick. Its a slow burn with incredible story telling, sprinkles a bit of horror, some fun action-combat gameplay (that *ISNT* the main feature), a little bit of stealth (a-la MGS), and a little bit of dark-souls player interaction.

Its a movie that you get to enjoy while playing through it at *YOUR* pace.
I recommend this game. I really, really do.

I'm not a fan of survival games by any means, but this game does a great job at making it REMARKABLY fun.
There's a little bit of polish needed here and there, but nothing dramatic or game-breaking!

This game is an absolute SLEEPER.
I LOVE this game, and its because it tickles something I dont get from other games *like* it.

The combat.
The combat is fast paced, and absolutely deeper than it first lets on. Get through the first bit of the intro, and the game OPENS UP to you!!

I'm not usually one to do sidequests in games, but to ensure I get WAY more substance in this one, I do all the side missions and they're ABSOLUTELY so fun!

this game is SOLID. I love it! You should too, if you're a fan of the soulsbourne series. Sekiro included!

Honestly? The visual appeal (s) not-withstanding, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible.
its DMC meets soulsborne/sekiro.

THIS is what I want the next soulsgame to feel like.
I had E33 locked in for GOTY, this is a *CLOSE* contender.

at the time of this review, I've only played approx 4 hours of this game. I can honestly say, I am BEYOND surprised.

To say the very least, this game's art direction is absolutely GORGEOUS, and I am REPEATEDLY blown away by simply how PRETTY it is.
The voice acting has NOT left me disappointed in any capacity, and the story is absolutely compelling. To the point where, actively, I am looking forward to continuing through my playthrough.

All that said, I'm USUALLY not a fan of JRPG's. That said, there are Real Time elements as well as QTE's during combat that makes it significantly more visceral.

Honestly, I can't stop recommending this game to people.

Just like good food, France cooked with this one.

So I'm not super keen on extraction shooters, but what this game basically *feels* like is essentially Soulsbourne / Tarkov, if they had a baby!

Its a remarkably great combo! Especially for an early access game!

Honestly, in my short venture so far, I've found myself in awe about how just *fun* this game is!!
I'm absolutely blown away by the visuals, the combat is nice and tight, the balance between Elden Ring and DMC here is masterfully done.
I can't recommend this game enough if you're a fan of either Souls games, or DMC!

looking forward to continuing to chew through this one!
