I have a really mixed opinion about this game, at times i was really into it and then i was at the point where I wanted to just stop playing this game entirely. The devs have done a good job with actually listening to feedback and fixing bugs but bugs are still a thing in the game, and with time I think this game could be a lot more stable. The gameplay is a lot more immersive, having to actually use my brain to come up with combat strategies and having to manage my weapons carefully. The combat i found to be a lot more fun than the previous game with weapons like the SMG, chainsaw and sawed-off shotgun. SPOILERS AHEAD, now story on the other hand was pretty alright, at times I couldn't really tell what was going on. Most of the new characters i found to be pretty bland and generic. The pawn king was an interesting character but I found him to be quite annoying, especially his missions. I thought the Dissidents were quite forgettable, I still don't even know their names. The villains though is were this game shines. Gerik was my favorite part about this entire game. Yeah he is an edge-lord and a stereotypical "big strong russian man" but I liked the story a lot and liked how they tied events from the last game into this one. Mama was questionable at times but I'm glad we finally got to see her after hearing so much about her in the first game. Mama is the perfect example of a cold hearted killer. The ending was pretty mixed for me, I am glad that we got the choice to choose between two endings and just like the first game, this game did not fail to have me questioning what I thought the right choice was, this time the choice was so much bigger, the fate of NOLA resting in my hands. I enjoyed this game and hope to see more of this series in the future, and for the love of Christ, please do not only release it on the meta quest 2 again. Overall if steam had a sideways thumb option for reviews, that's what I would give this game.
