While FAR: Lone Sails was never really my cup of tea, I did find myself oddly entertained by FAR: Changing Tides even though they are both, essentially, the same game. This change in heart is due, in no small part, to the change in visuals that created a world I wanted to look at and spend time within. However, it's still a "Far" title, and unless you can find peace and relaxation in having to constantly micromanage a ship that's falling apart, on fire or simply refusing to move, then maybe this isn't the game for you.

PROS:

It looks really, really pretty

For the most part, the gameplay is pretty smooth, and the puzzle solutions are intuitive

CONS:

Micromanaging can very quickly become a chore

The puzzle sections often felt intrusive and brash instead of like a natural progression
