The greatest action-stealth game of all time, cut short and killed by the same company that brought us the series so many years ago. The real tragedy here isn't Big Boss's story, it's the end of Metal Gear.

It's so simple, yet so satisfying. It's essentially Chess for one player.
The game has a knack for being just the right difficulty no matter how good you get at it, which is impressive. When you feel like you can conquer everything the game can to throw at you? Well, just throw on Hard mode and get your ass stomped. I just can't stop playing!

This game is stuck in the 80s. Now it may not sound like it, but that's about as much of a compliment as I can give a game. It plops a bunch of shiny things out in front of you and makes you WORK for them. In order to progress, you have to micromanage your finances, work out the best way of doing things, and then DO THEM. It's an absolutely golden relic of a kind of game that rarely gets made nowadays. That's probably why it doesn't seem to sit well with most people in the instant-gratification sort of entertainment society nowadays. And notice how all the people that complain that it's "a mile wide and an inch deep" have hundreds of hours in it. I can't remember the last time I've ever seen someone so enthralled by an inch-deep pool of any width that they spend a year playing in it.

And the Dwarf-Fortressey style controls don't help new players get acquainted, I'm sure. But maybe try not sucking.

I mean, it's pretty ok I guess, but the same gameplay could have been realized on the Wii by strapping the TV to your face. Your guns are basically just laser pointers coming out of your hands. It doesn't take advantage of VR functions at all and basically it's Doom with all the fun parts removed (glory kills, chainsaw, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ movement controls etc).

System Shock 3 is really engaging and it's all anyone could ever hope for from a reboot of the franchise! The new Psi powers are really cool and the updated research system is certainly a plus! The Many got a visual overhaul and even have more powers.

...wait, what do you mean this isn't System Shock 3?
