probably the shortest Resident Evil game I've played with 100% completion, not a bad game at all but it just feels like there's a lot missing. campaign felt way too short, not to mention no dlc's at all? and the scoring system only went to S, which i do not mind but there is no incentive to get an S rank besides a measly achievement and some points for the extra content shop.

with all that being said, I think re3 is a great game and I really loved the dodging mechanics. dodging each and every one of Nemesis' attacks on Inferno was really fun, not to mention all the mobbing with the infinite rocket launcher.

I give RE3 a 7/10. not amazing in my opinion, but not at all bad either!

by far the longest 100% game completion I've done for resident evil. with that being said there's quite a few things I love and hate about RE2.

to start, the campaign in it's entirety is great as a homage to the original resident evil 2, as this was my first ever resident evil game, I came back to discover everything it has to offer and completely have 100% every bit of it. the scenario system (while quite dull..) is an interesting experience, I don't personally like the B playthroughs as it doesn't change much besides starting you off in different segments of RPD, and key item location changes (and the obvious ''true ending'') I felt like this all could've been packed into the standard game, and to just have Leon 1, and then Claire 1, with Claire being the true end to the game, but I digress; it's great to be able to choose who you want to play.

my main big gripe as a Completionist when it comes to RE2 is that you have to do a crap ton of playthroughs just to 100% re2. to start off my first playthrough was just me experiencing the game for the first time. My second playthrough was discovering everything as well as getting some side Achievements. my third playthrough was hardcore with Leon, then my fourth was hardcore on Claire, then I got S+ hardcore with Claire, then S+ standard with Leon. then i also did two separate runs on standard for the Minimalist and the Frugalist achievements.

in total that is 8 playthroughs of RE2 but.... even with all of that being said, it was an enjoyable experience (besides the total nerve-wrack that was S+ on Claire A Hardcore for the infinite minigun...) I loved how re-playable this game is! each play though has me thinking on how fast I can go compared to my previous runs as well as learning the best routing for things like A small Carbon Footprint achievement. as well as myself using the infinite minigun for Frugalist, just absolutely shredding all zombies and the bosses! very fun, and while I don't quite like the sheer amount of playthroughs, it still remained a great experience overall :)

Now for the DLC's...... RE2 has the Ghost Survivors which is a ''what if'' scenario based off of the small side characters (like kendo the gun shop owner in Leon's playthrough) and has you escaping different segments of the game to reach an exfil point and survive. while the concept is pretty simple, overall I did NOT enjoy these small DLC's... while they are free, the four DLC's are just annoying to complete and feel like a huge barrier for anyone trying to 100% re2. sometimes i wonder if CAPCOM does this on purpose just to annoy us completionists. one of the DLC's is called ''No way out'' which has you fighting in the gas station at the very start of the game, fighting off 100 zombies and getting items throughout the game mode to try and Survive. there is a record for completing this mode while only shooting 60 handgun rounds. while it seems simple, the last two waves are an absolute pain in the ass and it was overall a horrible experience and personally took me 20+ attempts to defeat. I ended up watching guides and made my own personal guide to jot down each zombie spawn in each wave just to complete this record; which grants you infinite ammo in all of the ghost survivor game modes. using the infinite ammo doesn't update your time in each mode, but for my sake i just needed to complete each of the DLC's for the records.

there is also another DLC called ''the 4th survivor'' which pays a homage to HUNK from the original re2, which is a soldier that never seems to die. in this mode you need to escape the sewers to exfil and try to race against the little time you have before the nuke goes off from the main story. it's overall a decent DLC and fun to learn, and it's especially good for trying to learn how to dodge zombie attacks.

however..... after completing the 4th survivor game mode, you unlock a parody mode called the ''tofu survivor'', which has you play as 5 different tofu's, each with their own special niche in terms of what weaponry they use to go through the same scenario as the 4th survivor. for my sake all i needed to do was complete each scenario with each tofu and I've 100% re2! but each of their niche's they have isn't for good I'm afraid. while some tofu's are fun (looking at you Uiro-Mochi, who only has grenades throughout the entire run) most of them are just absolutely annoying to try and complete. the main one being the first tofu you play as. he only has a few heals and a metric butt load of knifes, it must've took me 5 tries to complete the run with him. same can be said with the ''Annin Tofu''. but for the sake of this review I'm keeping it short. I just don't like this extra mode and it's quite frustrating after a few tries. but it's there for those who enjoy it.

to summarize, I think resident evil 2 is a great game and I enjoyed it as my first entry into the resident evil series. while the DLC's for re2 are quite lackluster, I'm giving RE2 a 8/10!

thank you for reading my review! <3

good sequel, but not great. I do enjoy the story mainly for Ethan's plot but other then that there are so many sections in the game that are just a slog. don't get me started on crazy doll lady. that whole section was interesting at first, but doing it 4 times was just so annoying. I wish I had a skip button for that boss segment as running it back is just a meaningless puzzle.

not to mention, this game is great but i pretty much had everything done in the first playthrough.. it's a very short campaign, which leads me to my next point, I really hope that capcom stops making you replay the story so much for different achievements because it took me 4 playthroughs to get mine.

overall the story is great and i recommend you play it especially if you played re7 and I hope you enjoy it like i have! (sorta)

now for the DLC's, there's only two for re8, which most might not care for but I really like this compared to the hellhole that was Ethan must die in re7. here we have shadows of rose and the Mercenaries DLC.

shadows of rose is a good DLC story wise to follow-up on what happens with rose's life after the main events of the story. however I feel like some segments were just so utterly bad I just wanted to stop playing. that being the doll section of course. and running away from Mia. other then that, not a bad DLC, but the last boss fight was just plain old boring point and click with a few parries in between, it just didn't need to be so lengthy.

now for Mercenaries DLC. it's just....... okay..... fun after a few stages especially playing with the two hidden characters you unlock after completing all the main stages with Ethan or Chris, but like always you have to replay it to unlock a special item or in this case, the LZ answerer, a very good gun that is almost needed for a knives only run, problem is, you have to get SS on every level, plus the hard difficulty levels. it's just so boring I spent way too much time doing these and often times would just alt+ f4 out of the game.

In total, re8 village is a pretty solid game on it's own but I can't help but feel mixed about it as a sequel to the godsend that was re7. however, in terms of a resident evil game, this kicks ass. and I can't wait for re9!!!!!

I am writing this review as of 11/19/25. I have successfully 100% all of resident evil 7's main story and the DLC's, I will be ranking the DLC's based off of how much I liked them.

now for the main story, simply excellent. the main story single-handedly revived resident evil's horror after the period of time where resident evil was trying to be the next best call of duty like game. here we can see the big main thing Resident Evil 7 has to offer. Rot. rot is everywhere in resident evil 7, one of the most compelling horror elements it uses to scare the player. the molded are organisms made out of some hyper-evolved bacteria. the infamous dinner scene showcases the baker family for what they've become. monsters. they're all eating human parts and trash like it's just another Monday. they all act normal in such a dire situation. now that's peak horror if you ask me. Jack chases you around like a maniac and it's thrilling to see what he does next, like oh i don't know. runs through a wall? now that's pretty badass. it's quite cool to see such a game inspired off of many hit movies such as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the Blair Witch Project.

I really enjoy how the routing of the story takes you through each baker family member in order through a series of boss-fights where you progressively see each one get more and more.... moldified? Their certain end had me thrilled for more. Lucas had me the most excited to kill as he's well..... the black sheep of the family for sure.

his section also had me the most excited for what's to come as his portion of the game is pretty much 1:1 saw. with all the traps you have to go through, and not to mention the happy birthday sequence was very interesting and took a turn from the usual puzzles we get in resident evil games. not to mention the VHS tapes allowed us to see exactly what to do in that puzzle and the consequences following it.

madhouse was genuinely so fun with the circular saw and the albert pistol. resources are tight but if you are resourceful then this isn't too difficult. madhouse also brings back cassette tapes from the older resident evil games and while an interesting concept I never felt like needing them was a problem as the game is pretty lenient with giving you them. but overall madhouse is super enjoyable and I personally think it was the greatest experience in this game. not to mention, there are way more antique coins in this mode, as well as the scorpion key being locked up (not needed, but allows you to get more resources) as well as the grenade launcher being available as soon as you access Zoe's Camper.

I think madhouse is a great difficulty, and spices up things such as item locations and enemy spawns to make the overall experience much more difficult but remains true to staying fair.

!!!!!!S+ ranking!!!!!!

Overall, Resident Evil 7 is an amazing game that saved the horror aspect of resident evil with great horror elements and interesting characters. I wish i could meet the baker family for the first time again as they are such a cool set of characters for this game. I love resident evil 7 and it will remain one of the best resident evil games I've ever played. if not, the best! :D

great demo to a great game, also contains a secret true ending which gives you a dirty coin. this dirty coin can be used in the main game for unlocking items, so it's worth picking up, especially since it only takes about 10 minutes to get.

it's interesting to see the phone call ending removed on steam (no one seems to know why) despite it's simplistic ending.

takes about an hour to get all endings (quite fitting if you ask me ;), plus the dirty coin collectible.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is so ass after the masterpiece that was Tales from the Borderlands, what the ♥♥♥♥ even is this, nothing makes sense, the writing is complete garbage (which you'd think is at least decent for be the entire purpose of a telltale game) I don't even want to finish this but I gotta suffer through this if I want to 100% all ''borderlands'' games, air quotes because it seems like myself and the entire community could easily skip over whatever the ♥♥♥♥ this is.

The latest and (in my opinion) greatest borderlands game in the franchise. BL4 offers so much variety in a new way, following an open world style design which is completely different from prior games that followed a level design. I think this was a great idea for the universe, and that each of the four areas on Kairos is unique in it's own way. I've finished all of the game's content (side missions, collectibles, etc) in 138 hours. this game offers so much and I'm excited for the dlc.

simply a marvelous game. with such a rich story, I thought it was going to just be me choosing what i want to say in a boring sense but, Tales from the borderlands really does well when it comes the interactive story-design, every moment I felt invested and felt like every decision mattered. I highly recommend this for anyone who is about to play borderlands 3 as this takes place right after 2. it helps clear a lot of questions you may have for bl3. It sure did for me. and without spoiling, helped with Ryhs' involvement in BL3. absolutely love this masterpiece and I cannot wait to dive into New Tales from the borderlands.

The complete and utterly needed rework and fan made remaster of half-life one, this game was so good, i thought valve themselves made it! but no, a dedicated team known as crowbar collective created this 15 year long project that turned out to be better than what valve could ever make at the time! (if they were to create another half life game that is.) if you're new to the series or looking for another entry in the series i would highly recommend playing this dedicated project! this is what half life source should have been. 10/10!

It's Unfortunate to always see this game in such a bad state when everything is handed to Bungie on a silver platter. if they gave two craps about their game, I'm sure it'd remain ~#5 in overall playerbase. but Bungie stopped caring and it shows. yet we still hear dumb stuff like ''let's fuc**** do this thing'' or ''let's build some momentum'' just for ash and iron to release, the worst season in the worst DLC of all time.

Nothing will change until they do. and it's extremely apparent.

staying tone deaf will be the death of Bungie. remember, only bungie can kill destiny.
