Don't be fooled by the cute graphics—this is a full-fledged horror experience.

This game masterfully blends the charm of a dating sim with unsettling horror elements, creating a uniquely gripping experience. The contrast between its adorable aesthetic and its deeply disturbing atmosphere only makes the horror hit harder.

One of the standout aspects is the phenomenal animation work—some of the best I've ever seen in a game. Every movement is incredibly detailed and fluid, showing the immense care and passion the developers have poured into this project. The attention to detail is stunning, making every moment feel intentional and immersive.

Technical Note:
(Not a spoiler) I did run into a minor issue with Steam achievements. If you play the demo first, the achievements in the full game may not unlock properly—except for the last one, for some reason.

Overall, MiSide is absolutely worth playing—a true passion project that deserves recognition. If you enjoy horror with a unique twist, you won't be disappointed.

What can I say about this game? The dialogues are a perfect 10/10—witty, humorous, and serious when needed, seamlessly complementing the game’s wonderfully bizarre story. The characters are incredibly compelling, each with a well-crafted backstory and something unique to contribute. The world-building is phenomenal, and the voice acting ranks among the best I’ve ever heard in a game. The diverse gameplay options ensure a truly one-of-a-kind experience, whether you’re playing, re-playing, or simply watching a gameplay video.

By far one of the most unique experiences I had with a game, it combines great storytelling with really nice puzzles, it takes portal 1 mechanics and perfects them in addition to adding a few more.

A really good atmospheric experience, it's very likely to find other people playing the game and play it together, the game makes it very easy which I liked.

A good PvE shooter, mostly focused on the same objective as a team or solo.

Unfortunately the game crashed twice and ultrawide is not working properly the menus are stretched. It's a shame because the game seems to had a good baseline but it's full of technical issues from the very start.

It's an incredible addition to the souls-like genre.

The game for the most part offers a good experience, it has a descent story, characters are interesting though not as much as until dawn's but good enough and can be played in one-two seatings (it's a 6-9 hours game).

My major complaint is the FOV that is not adjustable and looks like it's fixed at different rates in different scenarios in the game, I understand the concept of low FOV in terms of giving the game the claustrophobic feelings it has, but in scenarios where you are in an open space it just doesn't make sense there and makes exploring hard because of not having enough camera view.

From a technical perspective, I didn't encounter any bugs but I found the RTX options to be completely useless since the performance hit was way too big and it felt like they were just flipping the rtx switch on UE4 rather than the team actually working in making rtx features in the game work better. In other words, you put rtx just to put rtx without it working properly or making much of difference since 90% of your lighting was hard baked and not utilizing ray tracing.

Generally, it's a game I'd recommend if you are a fan of a choose your own adventure, horror, movie like game, great game to play with friends/family or even alone.

I won't use the review template here since I have things to say that are not covered by it.

Resident Evil Village is a good game from start to finish with nice combat mechanics that felt really good and satisfying. While the horror elements could have been more consistently terrifying throughout the game, the unforgettable House Beneviento chapter sent chills down my spine. Though on the shorter side, the inclusion of New Game+ and its replayability factor made every moment worth it.

Unlike RE 7, the game does draw you to play a second time and it's not boring at all.

About the combat system, I loved it, it felt the best combat system so far in a resident evil game, guns are all interesting and feel good shooting them, there was plenty of strategic resource management,
and some intensive enemy encounters, making those encounters a white-knuckle experience.

I feel like I have to talk about the horror aspect, and my feeling there are mixed.

1. The castle level does not feel as scary as let's say the Baker's house of re 7, even though Dimitrescu is tall and scary, they way she
walks in the house feels like she doesn't actively chase you as with Mr. X or Jack Baker. It's ok but could've been better.
2. House Beneviento level saves the situation since it was an actually scary level, immersing me in an atmosphere of dread and psychological horror.

The game could have benefited from a longer overall playtime. While not as short as its predecessor, it felt like it ended too quickly even with me looting everything out of existence...

From a technical perspective the game for me didn't have any problems and there weren't any bugs as far as I can tell.

Conclusion:

Resident Evil Village provides an enthralling experience with its captivating combat, satisfying replayability, and unforgettable moments of terror.
The House Beneviento chapter stands as a masterclass in horror, leaving a lasting impression on everyone about to play the game.
While the game could have been longer and scarier throughout (which is my main complaint), the inclusion of New Game+ make it a title worth revisiting.

Game is an easy 8/10 for me and worth getting it.

Note: I haven't played the DLC with Rose but I doubt that would change anything on the above review.
