Great game so far. My only complaint is that the game is clunky by attempting to stay true to its roots, and it would have been better off by just being "DOS3" mechanically with a BG3 story.

The DOS2 engine and gameplay framework was already nearly a perfect fluid combat system.

Pointless "classic" D&D stuff which only seem to clunk up / irritate you:
- Exposing Dice rolls to the player. Yes, part of D&D IRL but only serves to break up the story telling and immersion in game.
- Having to "Long Rest" after you cast a spell is just a bad mechanic
- Archaic "saving rolls" instead of just a rating system
- Archaic dice system on weapons, armor etc etc instead of just a rating system
- Bad cluttered combat UI because of a bazillion little icons

While I am sure real D&D players will enjoy the clunk and clutter, it feels like a step backwards from DOS2 on gameplay.

One of the best games in any genre, easily in the top 5 single player games of all time. Despite being pretty old it isn't too clunky feeling (can't say I feel the same about Baldurs Gate). Solid story, solid mechanics. It's even fairly replayable to try different party mechanics.

I give it a chance, but this just fails at immersion and has no intrigue whatsoever. It's like a cartoonish zoo without any interesting survival elements or real sense of mystery. There's a lot of places to explore but no reasons to care. Doesn't stand up compared to Subnautica, The Long Dark, or Outer Wilds which all give you a reason to be interested.

Excellent isometric RPG. Not very replayable, but at least it's cheap.

The only kinda weird thing is that it's retained the races from D&D, yet it's cyberpunk.

I played this for 1 hour and refunded it. The basic problem is it seems to have no gameplay at all. There is no survival element, there is nothing for a gamer to do here. The entire point of the game is to uncover pieces of a story. But uncovering a story just because there's nothing else to do isn't a game to me. It's a more akin to a mystery book or 1000 piece puzzle you might do on your coffee table.

I was hoping for a game like Fallout or Shadowrun, but it's more like a turn based Borderlands. Simple, unimaginative, and dumbed down combat for consoles. Super lame introduction which I took as a sign that the story would also be lame. I got sick of it in 10 minutes. Look elsewhere for serious turn based combat games. What a heap of crap.

This is by no means a bad game, but it's just too simple. Once you figure out what to build so your citizens don't die, then there's no real reason to keep playing.

It's worth buying on sale though.

Imagine if you hired 200 people to do art design, 2-3 people for writing dialogue, and then had no money left to pay for coding NPC AI.

That's Cyberpunk 2077.

Is it worth buying just to see what $100 million spent on art design really looks like? Yes.

However I am still giving it thumbs down until the devs patch the AI.
