A very cute and enjoyable game with fun fighting mechanics. I definitely recommend if you like rpgs and want to dedicate a few hours to an interesting world.

Hypnospace Outlaw is a fantastic game well worth the price. It's a 90s internet simulator set in a world a little different from ours and it's pretty faithful to the aesthetics it tries to achieve. The game is so full of detail and charm that getting it for those reasons alone is worth it IMO.

You can explore all kinds of pages, find secrets, and be the coolest internet moderator there is. The game does have a story, and a pretty good one at that. It's difficult to talk about without it getting into spoiler territory, but it was a different and extremely enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this game and hope to see more people play it.

p.s. Watching a let's play of this game doesn't really do it justice, but I'd recommend watching a short video to see if it's for you or not. That's actually how I found out about this game and wanted to play it for myself!

short game, fun mechanic, easy achievements. it's 18+ but the nudity itself is fairly tame

the only thing that's annoying is that the achievement you get for starting the game is kind of bugged, so you have to restart the game and pray that you'll get it sometime. i'm unsure if this is a bug or not, but that's about the only negative.

Misao is an old classic, along with other games like Mad Father, Witch's House, and Ib. The same people who made Mad Father also made Misao; this game originally came before Mad Father, but it was remade so I recommend playing Mad Father first, and then this game after. They aren't connected in story, but some elements do carry over.

Misao is about a girl (Misao) who curses the nameable protagonists's school, and she wants to be found in order for the curse to be lifted. While the school is cursed, plenty of other spirits surfaced and of course try to kill everyone near them. The plot is pretty straightforward, but there is plenty to do and lots of dying in order to get to the end. So, so much dying, in hilarious ways.

When I first played Misao, I didn't really like it and I thought what it was trying to do was too edgy. The plot is very similar to Corpse Party (which is a game I absolutely loathe for plenty of reasons) so it probably rubbed off the wrong way. However, in playing the definitive edition, I was really pleased with the changes and I enjoyed the game as a whole. Some of the edgy stuff still stayed, but the definitive edition has better art, better writing, and pretty solid character development.

This game pulls NO punches and there IS some sensitive material in this game, the biggest one being sexual assault. I do not recommend this game for anyone uncomfortable with the subject; that being said, it isn't explicit. The worst the game shows you is gore (especially with your character's death scenes) and intense bullying.

There are 2 playable protagonists: a boy and a girl. Their bad ends are basically the same, but their normal ends have some differences and doing them unlocks both true ends. The game is pretty satisfying in the end. There are bittersweet parts, but overall I thought the story was great and I felt good walking away from this game.

Mad Father is a great rpg maker game (wolf rpg editor?) that's an old classic, along with other games like Misao, Witch's House, and Ib. They aren't connected in story, but some elements do carry over.

The story is about a girl named Aya whose mother died a year ago, and on the anniversary of her death, the mansion became cursed. Aya was determined to save her father, who was a crazy scientist who experimented on humans and animals. On this wonderful horror journey, Aya encounters many of her father's test subjects as she tries to find her father and end the curse.

The game has plenty of horror elements, but honestly it isn't really the scariest one out there, nor is it the most offensive. The only element I'd warn people about is that there are dead people and animals, but nothing is explicit. It's a Little-Girl-Gets-Herself-In-Intense-Horror-Situations simulator to the T.

There are 2 bad endings, a true ending, and a last ending that unlocks after getting the true end. You don't need to play through the game more than once, as it branches off at the end.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game. I watched a playthrough of it ages ago and I played it myself years later, when I forgot pretty much everything. There are plenty of secrets to unravel and, while the plot isn't all that unpredictable, it still gives some interesting twists that make you think for a while.

it's disappointing because the art of this game is so nice and it's probably the biggest reason people were drawn to it in the first place. i got into it for the memes and also the achievements; at the time of writing this i have 4 left. they're easy, but they just take forever and the game is specifically designed to piss you off so you spend money to skip ahead. I'm on the 8th monster girl, which has a 7 day wait, and the 9th monster girl will have a 14 day wait. Real days.

this is basically AdVenture Capitalist but they missed the point on what made AdVenture Capitalist fun and addicting. there's no upgrades, no resets that are worth it, no bonuses that make it less tedious, nothing. the only thing you work for is the next monster girl, and then your servants are slightly faster the next reset.

as stated before, the art is great though sometimes the anatomy is a little weird so they can fit all the "goodies" in one shot. There is 1 cutscene per monster girl and the writing is absolutely awful, and after you read multiples they're pretty much the exact same but with personality differences. the writing is good for a laugh with your friends, but honestly the only reason i'm still playing this game is to get the rest of the achievements.

i'd love to see more monster girl games. i wouldn't even mind seeing more sexy games, but this is a perfect example of how to not do them. i hope the company that made this game take the feedback at hand and make something more well crafted next time. just because it's free doesn't mean you can half-ass it, ESPECIALLY if there are in-game purchases.

Like its predecessor, Transparent Black is a pretty short but content-filled game as you play a girl who is severely bullied by her peers. There are 10 easy achievements to get which take about 2 hours total, and 1 secret achievement that requires you have a completed save of Confess My Love (which is free on Steam! You should get it!) After getting 10 achievements, there is also a secret ending that goes into the more gruesome side of her life and adds about an hour to your gameplay; while it's available in the core game, you can support the dev and buy the DLC that lets you access the secret route immediately.

Transparent Black is definitely more depressing than Confess My Love, but the art and style look even better and the simple gameplay shines through. I enjoy how each ending builds on top of the other and all the secrets you can uncover. I was happy to be gifted this game and I've bought the dev's other games in support. You should definitely get it if you like non-jumpscarey horror.

Confess My Love is a free and short game about a boy trying to confess to a girl he likes. There are 20 endings and each one builds upon the other; you have freedom in choosing your endings, but you need 19 of them to get the final 20th end. The English translation isn't the best, but the substance of the game itself is well made that the grammatical issues didn't really bother me.

The achievements are very easy, so I recommend this to an achievement hunter. The secret achievement is a bit tricky, though: you need to delete your save to reset the game after getting the 20 endings. Because of this, if you enjoyed the game and play Transparent Black (the sort of sequel but not entirely to Confess My Love) I recommend getting the secret achievement for that game first. Transparent's Black secret achievement involves having a completed game of Confess My Love. I had to play through Confess My Love twice because I was a dummy and didn't back up my save!

Despite the simple charm, the few spooky endings gave me the heebie jeebies. I definitely recommend this and I'm happy to support the developer by owning the two other games they released.

Dreaming Sarah is a short adventure platforming game in which you explore her dream to collect items and wake herself from her coma. I wouldn't call this a true horror, but definitely some atmospheric creepy vibes are there, like Yume Nikki or OFF.
Like in the game description, it definitely borrows from Yume Nikki, but the graphics and exploration have their own unique print and bring an entirely new experience.

There's 22 achievements that are fun to get and more to see outside of the main collectibles. The music is beautiful, relaxing, and ambient; a perfect fit for this game (and also for my iPod)! The story isn't told to you directly, so you must figure it out for yourself through the items, environments, and NPCs that pop up from time to time.

This is a great game to experience especially if you like more surreal stuff. During the sale I bought it, it's 60 cents which is a steal, but I would've paid full price now that I've played it myself.

This is a fun game that encourages you to goof off at every chance possible. There's no consequences and there's bound to be some jokes that make you laugh. If you're a fan of more literal humor (think of stuff like the movie Naked Gun) then you'll love it, but even then it's packed full of references and cheeky vidya game jabs with a dash of dark humor, so there's a little bit for everybody.

The game works well and looks beautiful in even the lower qualities. When starting up the game, the game freezes when triggering dialogue for a moment, but after that it's smooth the whole way.

The game is not that long (took me around 6 hours to do everything, 2 hours offline) and the achievements are easy and fun; you're bound to get them if you explore everything in the game.

I had a lot of fun playing this game and it makes me wish there were more games like it.
