Hands off! Waste of time and (especially) money.
After you've bought the game you have to create an own account just for the game. Well, not THAT bad but still annoying.
When you're lucky and able to log in you can select only one of three slots to create a new character. The other two slots are disabled and can only be unlocked after you paid for them. See below why they are so important.
After you've selected one of the servers and enter the (laggy) world of Infestation you have nearly nothing but a little bag pack with an energy drink and some chips or a candy bar (I don't really remember). Anyway, as soon as you start walking around you slowly start to get hungry and thirsty, so you have to look for something to eat and drink ASAP. Don't think that the already owned food helps much, because it does not. The other problem is that you have nothing to defend yourself and in order to find loot (of any kind) you either have to go into a city, what you will not survive because of the hordes of walkers (Zed) lurking there, or be lucky and find some left behind cars near the roads. You may find some ammo, a drink, chips, or even a gun, but nothing really helpful, because whatever you may find, the energy it takes you to do it is not covered by the found food, or the gun has no ammo, or you find a gun, but no ammo. Additionally, there are also zombies next to the roads, so getting some items without getting chased, what will rapidly decrease your stamina and increase your need of food and water, is nearly impossible without getting eaten.
Only if you have an guardian angel you'll find a gun, the right ammo (the caliber has to fit) and maybe even food and you're ok for about 1-2 in game days, unless you're not killed by others who want to have your stuff. Yea, stay away from humans, too. There is no teamplay like "us against them" it's "all vs. all".
There are neutral zones (shelters) which are some sort of fort, and you can store items and buy weapons there, but only for game money that has to be bought with real money.
If you die, you have to wait for about one hour until you can log in again. As written above you could choose one of the other character slots, but they are blocked, so you have the choice; wait until you are allowed to play again, or pay (again) to play the game.
In other words; pay to win, nothing else.
You can try the hard way, but you won't make it very long.
Graphics and sound are acceptable, but the lag and especially the concept of the game kills every sort of fun.
Seriously, if it was f2p and would offer some! features in exchange for money, like an extended storage room, or extended ammo clip size to pay for the servers and some profit, it sure would be ok and a fair deal, but this way it's just rip off.
Save your money and stay away from that game.
Get Arma 2 and play the DayZ mod or buy State of Decay for a single player experience, if you wan't to survive a zombie apocalypse. Infestation is just disappointing and frustrating experience. :(
