Boring and dated, and as someone who generally enjoyed Fallout and Elder Scrolls I can't find any enjoyment in this, you're devoid of any real choice and stuck to a linear path "generic good guy", even if you play as Crimson Fleet you're left feeling empty. as far as your Companion choices? Terrible, the story companions all share the same boring "I'm a good guy!" personality and your dialog and responses lack edge no matter how you choose to play. Exploration is boring and feels like a waste of time. the saving grace of this is ship building but that feels useless as after you get playing you realize you're pretty much pushed into using more menus and "treated" to more loading screens. I've even heavily modded this game and it feels like no amounts of mods (at least those that exist now) do not help this game, this is a bad game for 2023 and a decent game for 2005. All this game does is raise questions and stoke fear as to what Fallout and Elder Scrolls will become.

Maybe it's nostalgia, but I will always hold this game in a special place. It is my measuring stick for shooters, it always will be, perhaps it's because it's online community was where I truly felt "part" of, and I miss it so. Countless hours on the xbox 360, playing from 6pm to 6am, too many good memories to count. Pistols in the Villa, games of Michael Myers, the trash talk, the people, what a time! Even though the servers are dead, I will always recommend this game, the gunplay is still smooth, the sound effects and feel of the shooting is still satisfying, the Raging Bull is STILL that pistol!

The way the games industry is currently going with games as a service, battle passes etc, I don't see a game like this coming along again, being able to completely customize your character without paying a extra dime, load out your guns the way you want it, man, this was my "once in a lifetime" game, so a shout out to everyone who played this as much as I back in the days, maybe we shot at each other or shot at others together, but man, what a time that was. To all my R6V2 vets, I'll see ya'll in the "Suicide Halls"!
