This game is phenomenal, the challenges are decent, the gameplay is there. Unfortunately, there's a bug for me that the game writes memory out of bounds on a 64GB RAM build with a Nvidia 4070. This is causing the game to run well for about 20-30 minutes and then crash the whole system. Blue-screen not found, but there are minidumps which tell me the kernel-level anti-cheat is attempting to prod memory it shouldn't.

Until this is fixed, I'm not able to play but the 50 hours or so I had in the game were amazing. It feels right, it runs right, it just had an update that has effectively killed my ability to play and is somewhat isolated to this game.

AI is one-tappable. Bosses are chunky, challenging but still winnable and even with PVP, there's a lot going on for the operations. Think Metal Gear Solid 5's base system but Tarkov/Marauders' stash system. Very arcade-y and has that battlefield 2042 feel without the EA over-pushing the microtransactions.

It's really a solid game and I bought the battle pass but since the week prior to campaign being released. I can't play more than A round of warzone or operations iwthout the game crashing. I can't get through campaign without it crashing. but my issues don't impact my review of the game. It's solid, worth the season pass purchase and all-in-all a fun time.

Lockdown protocol is that itch that you need to scratch. It's the "you think you know me that well?" game. Among Us, but 3D with more common sense rules.

If you bought this for H2M, but now you are wondering how to make them feel it. Remember you can refund this because the game doesn't work out of the box. Mouse in Multiplayer doesn't work. Graphics ♥♥♥♥ up on Windows 11 with Out of Memory which requires safe mode to launch the game and moreover, the only thing playable is singleplayer in any decent form of workability.

Refund it. I can't its been too long, Get your money back....

**THIS REVIEW IS FOR AN EARLY ACCESS TITLE, FEATURES ARE IN FLUX, BALANCING IS BEING PERFORMED, DO NOT EXPECT TRIPLE A STUDIO QUALITY**

Expedition Agartha is a looter shooter made by a caring, passionate and small dev team who have taken great care to add in real features that are balanced as the game has developed. The devs are encouraging and helpful when you find them playing their game. The lore, maps and overall abilities as of August 2023 demonstrate a clear competency in their craft while fostering a dedicated and clearly equally passionate community.

I've had the opportunity to see this game before launch all the way to today and experience a free-to-play resurgence coupled with a grand overarching theme of quality and fun from build to build to build. Matrioshka Games continues to show the care and passion worthy of praise and admiration of this small, but scrappy team.

Meet Your Maker

Meet your Maker is an asynchornous and synchronous multiplayer game wherein players create bases of various levels of complexity and hide "GenMat" deep within their territory. Players are then able to play these levels through random generation in an attempt to steal GenMat for themselves in a gameplay loop of build, steal, upgrade, repeat.

While the game's mechanics build on top of themselves, the light guidance about where to go, the telegraphing of enemies and traps, and the general feel of a well-balanced game is very prevalent.

Who will like this game?

Players who are familiar with Behaviour Interactive's other titles (Dead by Daylight, Hooked on You) will feel a little amiss in this new IP which strays from the DBD formula they are known for and doesn't interact akin to the Visual Novel of Hooked on You gameplay.

However, players who ARE familiar with The Legend of Zelda's Dungeon maker mode on the switch, or Mario Maker, as well as PC players who play Satisfactory, Cities:Skylines or even First Person Shooters will feel as though this is a familiar departure with a bit of strategy sprinkled throughout. Players who were fond of Phantom Abyss will like the pseudo-random nature of the puzzles and bonus objectives scattered throughout levels made by players.

Is there longevity?

If you're looking for a fun, puzzle-solver with a less-intense Doom atmosphere, You'll find this game fun. However if you come into this game looking to be challenged with intense gameplay, you'll be hard-pressed to find it without self-imposing challenges (I will beat this level in 0 deaths, I will beat this level in 5 minutes, etc.)

What can Behavior do TODAY to make the game better?

A unique level sharing code or favorites system which would allow you to go back and challenge for significantly diminished rewards, or "difficulty modes" alongside this system for enhanced replayability would go a significant way to ensuring levels will continue to come for a substantial amount of time.

Conclusion

Meet your Maker is a phenomenal attempt at making new IP in a genre-blending puzzle-making, looter-shooter with many avenues to tantilize players. The blank slate base building for puzzles, combined with excellently made tutorial levels and a currently rather easy level of challenge for learning the puzzles make this a great game to pickup, play one puzzle and set down while providing for that "just one more" itch.

A very unique and calming puzzle game based off chess and sokoban. The assets are well kept and the music is soothing. This game is a nice change of pace for anyone looking to have a gentle time with chess.

It may benefit you as a player to lookup the rules prior to playing however as the studio did not provide instructions or clarity as to how to win. If you come into this game with only knowledge of chess, you'll find yourself suffering through the first few levels until you decide to investigate.

Good work dev team. 7.8/10

Pros:
* it's a chess/sokoban concept in a puzzler which works very, very well.
* good lighting system
* good music
* two camera angles
* control mechaisms displayed on startup

Cons:
* No introduction, you either know it or you don't

It's Halo, On PC, with Xbox players and separate ranked for K/M and controller players. Seriously, It's like the experience we wanted in Halo 2 for Windows Vista, but....good.

Sneaky, like a Snek

Temple of Snek takes the old classic to fresh new heights and to new dimensions in this fun puzzler. Just as you'd spend hours upon hours trying to get the highest score in the classic game, Classic Mode (introduced after the tutorial) plays in the style most of us are used to where you must eat the most humans bits before you inevitably eat yourself. Story Mode takes you through puzzles ranging from easy to "let me sit and think about this" in difficulty. All the while slowly unraveling the world around you.

What's not to like?

Certain elements of this game will begin to feel stale, especially if you bounce from game to game looking for something fresh. However, the mileage will vary based on how much of a challenge you expect to receive from some of the puzzles. If you're looking for that classic itch, I didn't just spend an hour trying to beat my high score in classic mode at all. Nope. Nuh uh.

I don't see that being a problem, What'd you like most?

Enemies are varied and each come with a new type of threat and even some unexpectedly gruesome death animations for when you end up on the wrong side of puzzles, spikes, walls and even the slapchop of the inhabitants of the temple.
Story Puzzles are fresh and welcoming with a lot of variety from very simple basics to "you don't actually have to do this puzzle in this room yet." moments.
Mr. Snek is also very cute and I hope Razer takes notice to let Sneki make an appearance :p.

What's something that's missing?

Only because I've got it for my main system and setup...There doesn't seem to be an integration on Razer Keyboards, nor the HP Omen LED configurations so that as you make movements, animations could come across. Different integrations I'd want to see: warning flashes for danger, flash for eating, directional flows on movement changes and respawn flashes (cause I died....A LOT).

Score out of 10?

This game in its current form gets a solid 7.5 out of 10. The rhythm moments caused by the game soundtrack combined with the camera angles show a new focus on the gameplay. My personal issues with game ADHD makes games like this a "touch and go" style. Classic brought me back and the Snek character is really cute. The devs already have a "make-a-snek" option coming soon for you to make your own snek also!

This is a great looking game, but...

This is a great looking game and its graphics are only overshadowed by its lack of playerbase. I had the opportunity to try this out for few rounds with t.tv-Salurse (https://twitch.tv/salurse) who seems to have a better grasp. I played primarily as the hunter while he was the prop. The map I played was extremely large for a 1v1 hunt and after a while began to become very very stagnant in its playability.

This game does a lot well, but would benefit from an AI and pathing that has been solved in other games where this gamemode is a staple. The lack of intensity and echo chamber of gunshots make for an experience that DESPARATELY wants to be good.

So what's good about it?
The graphics
The netcode (even when I was playing with a player across the world, the game was extremely fluid!)
The gamemode mechanics

And what needs work?
Music
Ambiance
New Player Experience
Tutorials

Would you recommend it today?
I understand these devs are taking a risk and trying to create something in a space that needs some invigorating but without a solid playerbase that exists outside of their discord and some "new" features to the prophunt style... In its current state, I am on the fence. However, it is only two days out from release.

I'll be live this Friday (July 9, 2021) at 7:30pm Pacific on Twitch if anyone reading this would like to participate and see the game first hand.

Okay, but its in early access, do we give it a pass?
I played on the second day of release from early access. I'll be revising my review after a month's time.

@Venalith, if you're reading this...
You've done an amazing job so far and I see the potential you three have. I want to see more from this game as you continue your work. Do not take this review as a slight, I truly do believe there is something here.
