FFXIII is such a great game. I never understood the hate. It's one of my favorites in Final Fantasy, if not my most favorite.

- I find the story fascinating enough to listen and read while most other games I ignore the story or don't care.
- The music is fantastic and memorable. (I've listened to the OST on occasion over the years)
- It's not an open world game, but there are parts that open up massively to give a lot of freedom.
- English voice acting is fantastic. Never tried Japanese audio, but I've played in English several times over and it's always great. (Also worth noting that 99% of the time, I absolutely despise English dub, so me saying the English is good when it's a JP game means a great deal.)

- The PC port is unfortunately in a bad place, and SE obviously doesn't care enough to fix it, but thankfully the modding community has fixed most of the issues and add things like HD / UHD videos, harder enemies, faster movement ect. Modding definitely saved this game on Steam.

I very much hope Square Enix works on a Final Fantasy XIII trilogy remaster so we can play FFXIII on modern devices. This game deserves more people playing it, and I hope we get, at the very least, a version of the trilogy in the PS Plus collection, if it isn't a PS5 remaster.

I spent a small amount of money on this game, though I don't regret it, as I got my money's worth in hours. Aside from that, the game is pretty meh after the novelty wore off. It was definitely fun at first, but logging in now to do dailies is inching towards just being a chore.

It is 100% a gacha, make no mistake. Square Enix is pretty generous in giving out crystals (in-game currency) to draw weapons and outfits, but none of it really feels good.

Leveling up characters and making them stronger was pretty cool at first, but eventually just led to being boring.

Final Fantasy music will always be king, so there's no question the music is great. But the sound design is garbage. Sounds cut off, sound distorted, and the balancing of certain sounds is all over the place. The rest definitely sounds straight from a mobile game, but worse. The ONLY good thing is the music, but even that can sound not very high quality.

The game runs pretty good despite being at the highest settings. No hitching / stuttering and runs pretty smooth. No complaints really. Though graphically, the game overall isn't all that great. It's mid.

Mostly, the game gets boring pretty quick, but it'll depend on the person. Though I wouldn't really recommend playing it. Playing casually is probably fine, as I do, but don't look for anything more than a daily grind fest at the end of the day.

Cheers.

I own this game on both Switch (when it first came out) and then played on Steam.

I love the game. It's what anyone would love about a Monster Hunter game. I'm also a big fan of Japanese culture, and with the aesthetic and music, you can feel a lot of it--it's great and immersive.

Runs fantastically on my PC, with little to no performance issues of note. And looks great graphically.

I'm not sure I have much negative things to say other than some frustrating moments in battle, but I'd blame it more on how I'm playing than the game itself. I'll add anything I come across in the future.

It's not a Monster Hunter you want to pass up.

9.5/10

I've reached A in some statuses, although my town is only C at the moment, so I've not experienced all the game has to offer, but I have experienced enough to give my review on this game.

First off, the art and overall aesthetic is absolutely beautiful. Music is great too.

Much like most farming sims, you get to grow crops, go mining for ore, fish, romance certain villagers, take care of animals, have pets, customize your farm, cook, upgrade your house and other buildings. It's got most, if not all the normal stuff you'd see.

It's a lot of content, so you'll get your dollar worth out of this game in timewise.

This game is far from perfect though.

- I've run into a duping bug unintentionally, multiple times, and was quite annoying.
- A soft lock on the game, at the end of the day, after diving into the ocean and being forced to come back up. Had to restart the entire day. Happened a two different days. Very frustrating.
- NPC has nothing to say. Something you'll run into often. NPCs just overall need more text.
- Wife.. doesn't really do much. Lifeless doll and so, so disappointing. Needs more text.. more.. lifelike qualities. Just overall terrible.
- aiming with net can be a little silly, but you get better as you do it. Could be cleaned up though
- aiming in general needs a little work. gathering and picking crops sometimes just doesn't work and you need to move at angles just to get it correct
- fishing needs more oomph. Normally I love fishing in these types of games, but this is one just boring. Can't quite put my finger on it.
- no animal breeding is a disappointment
- can't interact much with mermaids or any shops
- needs an endless mine or something for mining. After finishing the current mines, it doesn't feel like I need to go back.

This game shouldn't have been released yet. It's not a 1.0. It has plenty of content, which is fine, but plenty of the content towards the end isn't finished. NPCs are not very lifelike. NPC movement is clunky.

The release feels rushed. Monetary reasons? who knows. I doubt they'll admit to it.

I still recommend it because there's a good 70+ hours you could spend in the game, which I feel makes it worth the monetary value. Their roadmap shows plenty of stuff coming in 2024, which is great, but this game is still early access. It isn't finished, and that's the biggest disappointment of all.

Barely recommend.
7/10 (until it isn't actually Early Access anymore.)

Finished Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic! (KOTOR 1 modded)

27hrs total. Light Side. Scout8/Guardian12. It's obviously a dated game, but still fun. I look forward to playing the remake in a year or two. GGs @BioWare.

For 2003? 9/10. Like Metacritic says.
For 2023? Solid 8/10. (Don't hate me for saying this.)

There are 8 Class stories. They may not all suit your fancy, but the ones that do.. you will wish you experienced it sooner. I have only played a few class stories so far, so I don't have any feedback regarding endgame or anything beyond the class stories.

The music, voice acting and class stories are more than worth your time. Everything beyond that is icing on the cake. And that is an understatement. It's a Star Wars game, and it is glorious.

---

Side Note: Do not buy anything beyond the game on Steam. e.g. any DLC, as it could cause some issues, or take time to get to your account. A good chunk of negative reviews are because of this. It's a Steam issue.

Just buy from the SWTOR website if you want to subscribe, buy coins, or anything else.

This game is so underrated. Although the combat can be lacking at times, the music and story are S tier.
