i cant stop playing

Played on PS5, rebought and replayed with mods on PC.
Thank you Sony for porting games to PC

A masterpiece of a game that deserves every single praise it gets. Every second I've played in this game felt like playing through a movie. The story, cinematic cut-scenes, the scenery, enemy design, soundtrack, just plainly everything makes this worth every penny.
It's a game that has felt the most COMPLETED than all the games I've played these past years.
This game felt like it was created with love and care, which is how games should be created instead of being rushed just for profit.

every time you jump into a game, be it alone or with friends (its even better with friends), you're bound to get a different run each time.

i haven't grown up with halo, 'nor played any of them on their initial release.
i have friends who have told me how much i've missed out on the golden days of gaming and i wanted to try it for myself.
i decided to pick up the master chief collection cause of my friends; and oh my lordy lord was this a good purchase.
this game makes me regret not playing the old halo's during their glory days...

if you don't have the time to fully commit to this game, then don't play it.
i fell behind so quickly during the early stages of this games' initial release because I decided to not play for a couple days.
due to that, i don't feel like coming back to deal with its boring quests, storyline, time it takes to travel from town to town, and imbalance of power between factions.
the only plus (multiple) i have for this game is it's gameplay mechanics such as crafting and its graphics; other than that, this game falls short of being a good MMORPG.

It's a fun game to play with friends, however, it's really short. For a retail price of $40, and that's just the base game without any DLC, this pretty much isn't worth it. I managed to beat the entirety of this game with my friend in just 3 hours, and we continued with the DLC and it was just as short. I could recommend to get this game if you're looking for quick scare and a quick coop zombie game to play with friends, but I would only recommend buying this game during a sale. I picked the deluxe version for $20 and both me and my friends were severely disappointed with the amount of content that was introduced to us for that amount of money. This game should've been sold at around $9.99 with all DLC; but I can't have high expectations because this is pretty much a 1st generation VR game. Sloppy graphics, horrible gunplay, outdated controls, and crappy movement, it's an all in one package of anger and frustration.

I'm really stuck on deciding whether or not to recommend this product or not. I've played through this game, and New Dawn several times on PS4 and to the jump on PC, nothing much has changed. The same bugs are still here, and weird texture glitches, as well as the annoyance of the "not able to respawn" glitch during co-op. I've played over hundreds and hundreds of Far Cry games, causing me to buy the entire collection here on steam. However, this game in particular, is one of the buggiest ones I've ever touched.


+ Very fun and addicting shoot-em-up type gameplay against the Peggies
+ Absolutely beautiful and stunning graphics. Even looks great on the LOWEST settings!
+ One of and probably is the only Far Cry to have the most rewarding stealth gameplay ever.
+ Co-Op in this game was the best addition in any Far Cry Game as you can play through the ENTIRE story campaign and even arcade (Custom levels) with friends.
+ One of the most optimized games I've ever touched, right next to DOOM 2016! I have yet to run into any crashes or frame drop experiences in this game when normally playing through the main game. However in arcade mode, there are some maps that can lower your fps due to them being player-created levels (probably item spam on a map, or enemy spam, or even particle spam.)
+ Huge map with many exploration and sidequests to do.


- Annoying side quests. There are many sidequests that ask you to go around the map and collect collectibles for them, or even hunt animals using a specific weapon. There's too many missions related to that, the developers could've at least thought out more unique missions rather than repetitive side-quests.
- A buggy mess. A lot of issues with the game are still prevalent in both the PC version and the Console version, which still have yet to be fixed. Many bugs that were present in release day are still here, and the developers still have yet to fix it.
- One of the worst stories in any FAR CRY game. No matter what you do, you'll always end up getting a bad ending. You always lose in the end. The game makes you feel like a hero, but when nearing the end game, it makes you feel useless.
- The micro-transactions in this game are unbelievably over priced, and why would there be Micro-Transactions in a Story-Driven Singleplayer / Co- Op Campaign based game? Of course, typical modern Ubisoft wanting to milk any money opportunity they get on a game.
- Several forced kidnapping scenes that you can't even escape, plus a scripted mission right after the cutscenes. There's at least 3 of them per area whilst trying to progress the main story. You can escape them by hiding, but they usually won't ever give up, or will give up but will continue the search for you the next time you finish a mission. A very annoying and buggy scripted event that shouldn't have been even added 'nor thought of in the process of developing this game.
- One of the most overkill DRM I've ever seen in a game. A 3 step / layered DRM just to play a game that has a dead multiplayer playerbase.
- Multiplayer is completely dead. Nobody plays it on PC, some still play on Console, but still somewhat dead. If you want somewhat of a multiplayer experience, you must have a friend that can join you and play through the main campaign with you or play through some player-created levels.


I highly DO NOT recommend this game at full price. ($59.99). I recommend waiting for a steep price drop during sales. I managed to get my hands on this game because of the price drop during sale, which was $14.99. (Just wait for it to steep low. Around 70% - 80% off during sales.)
The game is great, however with all of the negatives listed above, it really ruined and spoiled the experience for the game for me. I really wanted to love and cherish this game, but it's really a pushover of a Far Cry game.
