Played it a while ago. I liked it, it has a very clear and linear progression and doesn't ask much from you, which is nice. Upgrading the base felt pleasant, and that it has an end goal made it more enjoyable for me. Maybe the battle system wasn't exactly fun but it wasn't frustrating. Overall it's nice for playing when you're supposed to be doing something else.

I'm not a fan of the saga, I barely know who the heck the lean guy is. But the game was *fun*, and that's what matters to me.
If you're not easily scared, then the game won't do much for you. Maybe you'll get a little jumpy because the game practically asks you to turn up the volume of your headphones lol. I personally wouldn't call it a survival horror. It's more like arcade horror, and in retrospective, it's better this way. Like going to the cinema to watch a B-rated movie.
It might get a bit frustrating during the final night, yes, and you'll need to check a guide. But truly, even if the gameplay is plain and simple, it was dumb fun for me.

If you're ever bored during the night and it's on discount, grab it.

It's a pleasant experience imo. The illustrations are nice and the writing is good. If you like short stories, try it. Maybe I'll rewrite it when I finish all endings. But for what's worth, you'll enjoy it.
