A game where you get the "good" ending and have to google whether or not it really was.

This is an entry in the Far Cry series that has incredible potential but remains timid with its subject matter -rather than lean in and embrace a commentary on America, this edition chooses to bring up real world issues and then avoid them. The story is consistently broken up by immersion breaking segments that steal control away in an attempt to recapture Far Cry 3 magic, wherein a silent protagonist falls flat and leaves the player feeling wholly unsatisfied in having to be them.

Play this for the beautiful aesthetics, genuinely fun gun-play and amusing character encounters that are typical for a Far Cry installment. Buy this on sale and enjoy it for what it could have been, possibly wanted to be and do your best to forgive what elements otherwise try to sour an interesting experiment.

A game you'll play and wish there was more of it by the end.

Instantly causes maniacal laughter.

Diet old school RPG. Worth playing. Offers challenge if you want it. Good that could be great with a sequel.
