Oh my god. This is one steaming pile of garbage. I was so excited to see that a company was offering me their game for free due to my curator status. What I was greeted with was so abysmal, I don't even know how to put it into words. Just thirty minutes of playing and I can safely say that this is not a finished game by any means and I doubt the creator has played it at all. Perhaps this game would be more acceptable on a website like Armor Games or Miniclip or one of those other free Unity game websites because I cannot believe anyone in their right mind would pay $8 for this ♥♥♥♥. I don't know if they just don't understand how to make a game or if they really think this is gonna blow up and make them a ton of money. Hopefully with all the money they make off this trash, they can buy a Maclaren to take drifting and then tell me how accurate their game was in not only driving any vehicle but drifting. As a car enthusiast, this game pissed me off. As a gamer, this game was an affront to everything I stand for. I like games that are well made by passionate people who want to make a quality piece of art. NOT some 13-year-old with a laptop that wants to sell enough of his terrible drifting game on steam that he can buy an AIO gaming pc so he can finally play Fortnite with his friends. This game had no tutorial, no settings other than resolution, no music other than one song that was probably stolen from Monstercat which plays on repeat, no textures other than ones that look like they came straight out of the 90s, and textures for cars that I can almost guarantee the creator didn't get the proper licensing to use. This game is a perfect example of how poorly Steam monitors the games that they sell. I wouldn't play this game if they paid me.
Even after all of that, developer, if you're reading this, fix your game. If you are actually passionate about making a game, start by taking it off the steam store and then fixing it. You need a main menu, more songs, better controls, better map textures, better cars, better pricetag, better controls (I know I already said it), and a tutorial of some sort.

Okay, this game is far superior to the first two. Like before, the puzzles are linear and the game can only be progressed one way. However, this game made me feel like I was lost and that I was doing puzzles out of order and I had messed up somewhere along the way. But no! It's so well made that it makes you forget that it's linear. I applaud game-creation that progresses easily and allows the player to get a little lost while still feeling like there is another option. You feel like Sherlock Holmes whenever you find something that's more discreet, but there don't seem to be any secrets that aren't necessary for story progression. I should also mention that there are four endings and you don't have to restart the whole game to get all of them. The puzzles definitely could have been more difficult, but instead of brain-melting puzzles, the developer chose to elongate puzzles which was actually pretty relaxing. I'm very pleased with this game and the way this series has progressed. Absolutely buy, but play them in order!

Listen, I love Dark Souls more than anything else in this world. But this game, this game was not dark souls. I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I was when i reached the end of the main quest. This game wasn't directed by Miyazaki, who directed all of the other souls games, and it shows. It felt like a rushed game that didn't want to be special. For some background, FromSoftware wanted this game to be more appealing to new players, and as such, it's not as difficult, it's easier to understand, there's less lore to discover by jumping into the rabbit hole that is the Dark Souls wiki, the level design is repetitive and forgettable, and the bosses are just plain easy for the most part. Those things I listed are what makes Souls a better series than other games. It's what made me fall in love, and it's what changed my life and got me out of a depressive state. The first Dark Souls game, now Remastered, is the perfect culmination of difficulty, fairness, emotional involvement, lore, and genius level design. DS2 feels rushed, like an overbearing man in a suit said it needs to be finished by a certain date. DS2 has potential, and it's not even an objectively bad game, but it needs to be remade by a loving team, not remastered or retextured, completely remade in the vision of the first game. I can see this being a good first souls game for a completely new player, but if you just came out of DS1, avoid this game, it'll leave you feeling empty and cheated. This is not a game I will be replaying. The DLCs are okay, easily the best content in the game, with the best bosses in the game, and the most lore in the game. As much as I wish I could recommend this game, it pains me to say I don't. It would be wrong of me to say that it's worth playing when it takes forever (60 hours for me to beat it once) and isn't fulfilling. I'm sorry, FromSoft, but this game was insulting.

If you're going to buy it anyway, watch the video "Dark Souls 2 downgrade full comparison" to see how dark and souls-y the game was going to be. Then download a reshader to fix this ugly game.

Let's just take a second to appreciate this game for being as good as it is...

Alright, that's enough time.

This game is straight up addictive, I have long periods of time in between when I play just to keep from getting addicted. In short, I love this game. It's way up there with my favorite games, and I give it a rating of dank, a perfect dank, on the scale of dank or nay.

The game is beautiful, it's in-depth, it's entertaining as hell, and I think it can be easy or extremely difficult for a perfect game balance that literally kept me up all night.
