This is definitely a game that worth playing. I'll rate it 8/10.

Story Plot
The overall plot of the game is intricately woven with twists and turns, creating a perfect balance of tension and relaxation. The brilliant use of montage techniques effectively condenses excessive descriptions on the screen, resulting in a compact and fulfilling gameplay experience. Moments of family memories and reunions are skillfully interspersed within the intense checkpoints, adding a touch of warmth that humanizes the entire story. These moments also serve to emphasize the underlying cause of the eventual rift ---- family, which consistently portrayed as their greatest burden and the driving force for progression.

Lens
The game's camera work is exceptionally skillful and exhibits a level of excellence. Even if all the gameplay elements were removed, this work could easily stand on its own as a highly accomplished movie. The designer adeptly integrates the use of split mirrors and long shots into the cooperative gameplay between the two protagonists. At times, the camera moves in unison, while at others, it spies on them, creating a three-dimensional narrative process that effectively incorporates the close bond of their cooperation into the ever-changing composition and space of the screen. This truly delivers a cinematic level of enjoyment.

Characterization
Beyond the contrasting personalities of Vincent, with his calmness and wisdom, and Leo, with his lightheartedness and impetuosity, the game excels in portraying other characters as well. NPCs are given their own unique stories, and their interactions with the two protagonists showcase distinct attitudes. The choices made by the two main characters during pivotal moments strongly resonate with the player, evoking a sense of personal identification. It prompts players to ponder whether they would follow Vincent's path or Leo's if they were in the same situation.

Spoiler Alert
After much contemplation, I find myself accepting the ending in which Vincent dies. From the very beginning, Vincent's role in approaching Leo was based on exploiting him. Their seemingly beautiful friendship was built upon Vincent's initial deception. He manipulated Leo's emotions and abilities to achieve his own revenge against Harvey, an aspect that remains unalterable. Considering the initial portrayal of Vincent's character, it was unexpected for him to ultimately pull the trigger on Leo.

As for Leo, he is not deserving of death, yet he finds himself trapped in a dead end. The plot unfolds with interconnected twists, seemingly offering a glimmer of hope for survival, only to deliver a fatal blow to Leo in the end.

The game's title, "A Way Out," reflects both the literal meaning of escaping from prison and evading pursuit, as well as the metaphorical representation of two individuals closely linked but driven by different goals. Ultimately, only one person can truly make it to the end.

The final chapter, as cruel as it may be, cannot erase the days they spent side by side. Regardless of the ending, they always reach out to each other and hold on tightly, encapsulating these intricate emotions in an indescribable moment.

The game has an intriguing blend of rogue-like gameplay and card-based mechanics, making it a captivating experience. However, the game's potential is hindered by its limited selection of only two maps and an abundance of surplus cards by the end. Additionally, the game's full achievements can be easily attained, diminishing the sense of accomplishment. Overall, while the game has its strengths, I would rate it a 6 out of 10 due to its lack of depth and replayability.
