Just a heads up, 2042 will never work because EA hates Linux. EA also blocked Linux users from playing Apex since they think most Linux players are "cheaters". Same goes for Epic and Bungie, they despise Linux.

i do have linux mint but the wifi driver that it installed its self sucks its keep downloading in kb i have used the mint it is the best so far still with win 10 until i test out mint tested it for hrs or so its good but still trying to get all of steam games to run like bf 2042 and others

Debian is fine for gaming but for most people I would recommend Fedora or Linux Mint. I use Debian because it's stable and boring. The only updates you get are security updates which means you're stuck with the same old software and drivers until a new Debian version releases which is usually 2 years.

If you still want to try it I would wait a few months for Debian 13 to come out since that will have the newest software and drivers.
