The grind is repetitive and tedious, and because of the way parts are awarded to upgrade your car, you are forced to go through the tedious grind for a long time.

The upgrade system is pretty much the same as the one in NFS Payback, except in Payback you can stack cash/cards and buy multiple upgrades at once, whereas in this game, you are awarded only a few at the end of each race, with no option to purchase any. There are also perks on each part like in NFS Payback, but because there are more perks, getting the right ones attached to your parts is also tedious and takes a lot of time and grinding.

The only things this game does better than NFS Payback are the variety in types of races and physics attached to those different types of races (the drifting physics), and the map is much much better than the dusty desert in Payback.

On sale, this is worth it, but at full price? Not worth it at all, just buy Forza or NFS.

Too much focus on making the bland map look good, and it still looks worse than Horizon 4's map.

Everything else graphically got downgraded, character models are worse, car detail looks worse unless settings are maxed out when they looked better in Horizon 4 even on Medium settings.

Lots of cutscenes that are unskippable that make it frustratingly slow to progress because you have to watch everything.

Menus are terrible to navigate compared to Horizon 4 as well. They should've left it as it was in 4.

No more cool cut to the leaderboard when crossing the finish line, lots of cool aesthetic choices made in 4 are no longer present.

Overall, just a big downgrade from Horizon 4.

Map and gameplay was so much more bland than I expected. Played up to when you enter the rich girl's house and uninstalled. Map is bland, combat mechanics (in my opinion) is a downgrade, zombies suffer no hitstun on BLUNT attacks? Game is so much more linear than Dead Island 1 from the get-go. Dead Island 1 constantly sets you up with quests in different sections of the map, this game? Go here, do this, end of story. The ONLY thing Dead Island 2 does better, is movement, where you can climb up walls and sideways/back movement isn't slow and clunky like the first game, but everything else, just play Dead Island 1 for a better, cheaper game.

Used to be my favourite Battle Royale game, but don't know what developers did, now the game just constantly freezes and crashes midgame, causing endless losses. I kill an enemy, it freezes for like 2mins. I'm browsing weapons to upgrade, sudden crash. Just looking at main menu and claiming daily rewards, crash. Everything leads to a VERY long freeze or a sudden crash at crucial moments. If developers can fix this, it'll still be one of the most fun Battle Royale games to date, but otherwise, it's terrible. I don't recommend this game in its current state.

Thought there'd be nice animated scenes but no, it's just 4 low quality videos of repetitive movements by the same girl, just in a bunch of outfits, that you can't customize. It's less content than most free to play mobile clicker games. Do not BUY this. If it goes FREE on a sale or something then maybe get it if you're bored, but otherwise, not recommended.

While I don't recommend the game at its current price in its current state, it does have a lot of potential. Just like VR Paradise is the best VR strip club experience, VR HOT is the best VR "adult activities" experience. The graphics are on point and it has most options that you would want/expect of this type of game. The only downside to this game at the moment is that it stutters A LOT, and the normal controls (not the smooth turning/locomotion) are sometimes unresponsive, meaning if you push the stick to turn right like 10 times, chances are you only turned to the right like 2-3 times. This game needs LOTS of polishing and optimisation. If the devs put in the time and effort that a $56.95(AUD) game is worth, this definitely can be the best VR adult experience of all time.

Edited my review (again): After the December update, the game is in a state I'd definitely recommend to others. Though still a little pricey.

But one point still stands, and that's that this game is not meant to be L4D3 or in any way related to it story-wise and gameplay-wise, even though some people feel it should be based on how it was advertised.

There's a heavy focus on the card system, and very much less focus on survival techniques like good positioning and teamplay (I am not saying these are completely absent, but these aren't as important as they were in L4D). I say this because you'll spend much MUCH more time thinking about what cards you/others have, and the cards are what get you through most of the game. Running damage resist to tank for the team, or run speed to just be able outrun zombies so you don't have to corner up to fight hordes, or lots of damage+stumble to keep specials staggered so you don't have to deal with them as urgently.

It's all about the cards, and less about gameplay, and that's what you should know and expect before getting this game.

It's still lots of fun though, after the december update. Devs are finally bringing highly requested changes to the game and making it more enjoyable, which is a great step in the right direction and paints a bright future for this game.

Long story short, this game is fun but if you can, I'd recommend getting it during a sale instead or wait for the game to be much more polished before paying that big price tag.

They should have marked it as Early Access. The game is full of issues at the moment, and definitely missing lots of features that should have been included in this PC version.

To start, you can't rebind keys, that's not the big issue, they made it such that all drag keys can be done by just holding one key, that takes so much away from the gameplay. There's heaps of lag issues, and if you read through discussions, there're also screen tearing, and general optimization issues, and for me I've been having framerate issues even though my PC is definitely capable of running this simple game. For the price, the number of songs you're getting is also pretty bad. If you want my honest opinion, I'd rather have a 1:1 mobile port to Steam than play this version. The only feature I could recommend this game for, is VR, but if you're a rhythm game enthusiast, give this a pass and play DJMax, it's a million miles ahead, or if you want a cheaper option, tapsonic is another option.
