Game runs terribly, drops to single digit framerate during cutscenes, freezes up, constant crashes to desktop, if you lose internet connection your single player game is interrupted, unplayable garbage. Too bad, it looked like it would be fun if it worked.

Feels like it takes things from a bunch of games and smashes them together into an amazing package. Climbing from tomb raider, monster parts used for upgrades from monster hunter, stealth from plenty of other stealth games, some of the combat reminds me of MGS5 for some reason, maybe it's the slow down aiming mechanics. Story is decent overall, the first one was quite a bit better plus you can tell they definitely had some wokies pushing for nonsense this time around in certain places to the point that it's honestly pretty immersion breaking with just how out of place it is. The gameplay and game mechanics are fantastic though and a ton of fun and really make the game a great time.

When I bought this and started playing I had no idea it was another always online game, from the way the game plays there is really no reason it should be. Found out the hard way that all the sudden you can get kicked from the server and be completely unable to reconnect and continue your game because their server went down.
The game itself is not bad, the crafting is decent, the worlds look pretty good, the creatures are interesting, the human characters look off but whatever that's probably a stylistic choice that just isn't my taste. The game is however very very early access, like to the point that they are missing icons and graphics on a lot of the items and crafts in the game. Lots of bugs, lots of things are unbalanced, the narrative is honestly pretty boring but whatever. There is a lot of times the game does not explain things well and you are just confused as to how you are supposed to accomplish what it asks you to do to progress. Overall not the best game but also not too bad either, the deal breaker for me is that it is always online for seemingly no reason and after getting kicked out of the game solo in my own realm all the sudden I can't seem to reconnect to play it anymore. Guess what? A game that I paid for that I can't play is a bad game.

As I had previously had my PSN account hacked and Sony tried to charge me for stuff the hacker bought I absolutely refuse to have anything to do with a game that requires a connection to the Playstation network. Seeing as how I bought this game before there was a requirement to connect to PSN and they are now trying to add it in after the fact I will be refunding. I was actually planning on buying Ghost of Tsushima next week but see that now they are trying to require PSN login to play that too... a single player game that I should be able to play offline.. I guess Sony just doesn't want PC gamers to buy their games anymore. Oh well. FAFO.

Sony bent the knee, not like they had a choice. I will change my review after the "Requires 3rd-Party Account: PlayStation Network (Supports Linking to Steam Account)" is removed from the store page. Until that happens it's just words on twitter and Sony is not trustworthy.

Game turned out to be much better than I thought, early access so still some bugs but there is plenty to do already and a great gameloop that keeps things exciting until you catch them all.

Gameplay is not as good as previous Farcry games, systems are designed extremely poorly, for example your perks come from your armor so you are limited to a set number of perks at any one time and you have to change your clothing in order to have different perks, so you pretty much will just put on the faster movement clothes and never change it again, which is just lame. The guns and modding are decent but not great a lot of them you will never use because they are worse than things you will already have. The AI is a pushover and you can't raise the difficulty to anything even remotely challenging until after you have beaten the story, at which point you are over the game and have zero desire to keep playing. The story is lame, the characters are cringe and so unlikable that I was wishing I could change sides and kill them all because they are honestly worse than the villains. No boss fights, most of the bosses you have to kill die from someone other than you during a cut scene so you don't even get the satisfaction of putting a bullet in them. Forced woke ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ all over the place. Pretty much feels like you are trying to ignore the awful story and characters the whole time to try to enjoy the game, very sub par.

Absolutely lives up to the hype. This game poops all over the greedy, lazy AAA game studios and shows what games should be like. No micro transactions, no trying to nickel and dime it's player base, no FOMO live service nonsense, just a solid game that was clearly made with a lot of thought and care to provide a great experience for the player. It's GOTY for a reason, I just wish the rest of the game industry would take note and push to meet the standards that this game set.

Gameplay is good, story is retarded, live service and FOMO ♥♥♥♥ is obnoxious.

Update 2: They added 2 more heists, they are remakes of old heists from payday 2 but at least it's something new. They tried to fix the progression but it still feels like you get next to nothing for completing heists and there is no difference in xp for how many bags you take unless you take all of them, so being one bag short of everything gives you the same xp as completing the heist with the bare minimum.. which is really lame. But the number one worst thing that still isn't fixed is the always online, sometimes you try to run the game and it still just doesn't work because their servers are having problems or something, so you get to the login screen and then an error and you can't even get into the game. Seriously don't buy this ♥♥♥♥ until they remove the online only requirement, until they fix that the game will never be worth getting.
Update: Supposedly they fixed the servers, so you can actually get on and play now, however matchmaking still doesn't work at all. Game after game I end up just sitting in an empty lobby and then playing solo because it refuses to match me with another player. Still a mess.
Seemed fun in the early access, as soon as the game launched the servers can't handle it and now no one can play, since they made the completely retarded decision to make the game online only and you literally can't play without going through the online matchmaking system, even if you have your party of friends or are trying to play solo, the servers not being able to handle it means the game doesn't even work.
When it does end up working and you can actually play a match, sometimes after you see the end of mission screen and see your weapons level up and the new attachments you can get for them now, when you go to buy them after the mission guess what? The server didn't update any of that progress, you can't actually buy the new stuff because the server screwed up and now it's like that mission you just did never happened. Your challenges roll back and everything, zero progress made, you just wasted your time. Feels terrible, they have a ton of work to do to get this anywhere near acceptable.
The even worse part is even without all the awful server issues the game itself has tons of issues and missing features. You can't kick people from a game so griefers can just screw everything up for you and you can't do anything about it. You can't chat with people in the lobby, so good luck getting a strategy together before the game has already started. The overall lack of content makes the bugs and stuff stick out even more. It feels like a bare bones game that is still in early access.
I really hope the updates fix this.

The game isn't terrible, but it really isn't a step up from skyrim or fallout 4, in a lot of ways it feels like a step backwards. They really screwed up the immersion by turning the game into a bunch of small areas that you load into any time you travel from one to the other which just feels awful and takes you out of the feeling of it being a large cohesive world. The space flight and travel is pretty much just there for space combat when you first load into a system, which isn't the best space combat either, it's honestly pretty meh. The combat when you are on the planets or inside of ships is better than fallout 4 but not by a lot, the AI is all still absolutely brain dead and makes the combat unchallenging and kinda boring. There are some decent questlines that I enjoyed but the majority of quests are just lame random infinitely generated go here and kill this or transport this to here type of filler nonsense that might as well be the "another settlement needs your help" ♥♥♥♥ from fallout 4 all over again. The inventory system ends up feeling like a chore that you constantly have to deal with in a very short amount of time. Your personal inventory fills up extremely fast even with every trait that allows you to hold more, then you are supposed to put stuff into your ships hold, but this also fills up way too fast. After that I guess you are supposed to build outposts or something to hold all your crap? But its incredibly annoying to have to keep going back to them every time you fill up your inventory again and again, the travel in the game ends up just becoming just waiting for load screens rather than actually feeling like you are flying around the galaxy. Still no where near as good as New Vegas.
